Due to many people taking up until the last minute to: Send the entry, vote in the contest.
There will be changes:
1. No more deadlines, but a set target number and majority vote in place. 2. Classic Lyrical Song Contest will be discontinued, due to lack of time for it. 3. Simple text editing and no more fancy designs. 4. Come LYSC 17, only a 48-hour confirmation time, with a 20 second timeslot.

Why don't you just throw the non-voters out of the contest ? It's not fair that we now have the consequences for what other people did Also, Contests like NVSC nearly take 2 months to run, so why are you so impatient when one edition isn't finished after 2 weeks ? I don't like that changes and I'm considering withdrawing, especially the 48-hour confirmation deadline is garbage...

A) This is not like NVSC or any other big contest, not in the amount of work that can be done, since most of it is done by just me, not by multiple people. also not comparable in the amount of people that take part and do extra things, like National Selections. B) The extra amount of things people did in this contest, also have faded away, so there's no need to take a month for it. C) This edition took 2 weeks, but I hated that 6 Semi-Finalists did not vote, and now it seems the same in the Grand Final. D) Non-voters in the upcoming edition will be barred from the next edition. E) If the contest only has a Grand Final, I don't want to put too much effort into it, simply because it ain't worth it, and thus will only take between 5-7 days, without deadlines, and awaiting how people have actually voted.

If you don't want to put much effort in your contest, I don't understand why you are hosting it then... I can understand some of the reasons, but 2 days for confirming is not enough imo and I'm still thinking about a withdrawal

Most of all, it's not my responsibility to give you 28+ sorta reminders, before I get a response, day in, day out.
It's you [each participant's] responsibility to send in an entry on time and vote, otherwise don't enter.

I also don't like to remind the people 10 times in FoM and EOO but in the end they mostly vote before the deadline and that is what I want. Some people might simply forget to vote when you just tag them once when the recap is uploaded
