Vietnam returns to the competition! After a year of absence, VTV decided to return,after a lot of searching for a good entrant for the next flagofnone Own Asiavision Song Contest. Mister Gảo Jảo Sinh Thy announced that the entry would be selected internally and a famous vietnamese singer would be part of the contest.

Maya Payne as rumoured New Zealander entrantnzherald.co.nz has reported today that according to their source, young New Zealander singer from Christchurch, Maya Payne is going to represent her country in the Own Asiavision Song Contest #10. However, TVNZ is yet to make an official statement regarding the rumoured artist. In the last interview, a few days ago, Rytis Wilson, the Head of Delegation has said that the team is in the last stage of choosing an entry and that they are waiting for the response from several artists. Earlier it was confirmed that New Zealand will be returning to the contest after 4 editions absence and that internal selection is being held by the national broadcaster TVNZ. New Zealand has participated in the Own Asiavision Song Contest 3 times: debuted in the first edition and after one more participation withdrew for 2 editions. The country made its return back in #5, where their best result has been achieved when Lorde placed 4th with 'Yellow Flicker Beat'.
