Decent winner, I suppose...I gave this , but my opinion has changed a bit since I voted and there are some other songs that I would have put above it that I didn't originally vote for. would have been a much stronger winner imo - my - though I have to say my and , and , are both phenomenal in quality - and I'm especially disappointed that only came 17th Very surprised by how well did - I hated the song while I was voting, but it's grown on me, and I suppose congratulations to them on getting a good spot with something different. As for me - 12th - that's more or less what I would have given myself. Thank you to for the and for the s

26th place is not really what I would call a "successful participation" for this edition, but I didn't expect much and it's Christmas anyway, so I wanted to share the Christmas spirit with you (hope I managed to do that at least ). Thanks a lot to Greece for the points, as well as to Morocco, Austria and Germany for the , and respectively! I really appreciate them! Lovely winner; I am glad France won it and I expect a wonderful edition in Paris! A bit pissed off for Canada being 2nd again, especially since this edition they really had to win it, in my opinion Not going to call any country overrated or underrated, as I wouldn't find that necessary but I want to congratulate Azerbaijan for a marvelous 4th place with such an alternative entry! Despite not having voted for it, I think it was a nice surprise! Thanks once again to our host, Jasna, for a spectacular edition! I am glad to see her hard work and efforts being appreciated! Merry Christmas everyone and see you in Paris!

After getting my best result ever in WWWSC, I got my best score ever in Retro WWWSC Therefore, I want to express my gratitude towards those who voted for me, and special thanks are going to United Kingdom, Slovakia, United States of America for points To be honest, I expected being between 15th-20th places, thus 4th place was a huge surprise for me! Even when I joined the togethertube room, I wrote that I would flop very soon, but vice versa occurred, fortunately Besides, since It was an industrial metal song, I thought it would end up in the bottom places With regard to the countries I voted for, I must say that, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States of America, Switzerland were very underrated And I would like to thank to fabbi for sending something from Grauzone! they are one of my fave bands ^^ So, during 11th-20th editions, I qualified to top 10 in 14th, 15th, 16th editions consecutively, now after getting a top 10 place in 24th and 25th editions, I hope to get one in the next edition as well Congratulations France and see you all in Paris ^^

Translation: After a thrilling contest, the young singer from Ajaccio, who was representing France for the first time after a long time at the Retro WWW Song Contest, succeeded in winning the first trophy for France in this competition! Her song "Moi... Lotita" conquerred a majority of countries, and the singer finishes first, followed by another very well known singer in France, the very one who helped Alizée a lot at the beginning of her career: Mylène Farmer. France will organise the 26th edition of the contest for the first time in its history.
Alizée : "Like a dream for me... It was amazing!"
Alizée accepted to answer to som questions for Corse-Matin. Here is her exclusive interview:
Good morning Alizée and congratulations again for your victory! What did you feel at the moment?
First of all, I would like to say that the contest was very well organised. I have been very warmly welcomed. A lot of people were very happy to see France again in the contest. My victory? It was like a dream, I needed some time to realise that all the votes were over and that I was first! It was amazing!
And you met Mylène Farmer ther, who helped you a lot at the beginning of your career...
Yes of course, without her, "Moi... Lolita" wouldn't ever have been released. I was very impressed by the idea of doing the same contest as her. I'm happy for her second place, and I'm still surprised that I won!
And now, the contest is coming to France...
Yes! That's amazing! French people were waiting for that for a so long time, and I was happy to give that present to the French public, who has always followed this contest with a great interest. The dream would be complete if the contest could come at home, in Corsica, or at least not far!
A last word?
I would like to thank my public for his support, and once again the staff of the contest. I am impatient to know who is going to represent us the next time, and I hope it'll be a great show!

A photo that rocks the Web
The diffusion of a photo of Alizée, winner of the Retro WWW Song Contest 25, with the other singer Jenifer has initiated a wave of rumours on Internet about the identity of the next French contestant and about the locattion of this big event, hosted for the very first time by France.
Retro WWWSC in Corsica, myth or reality?
Some people think that the two Corsican singers - Alizée is from Ajaccio and Jenifer's family from the region of Serra-di-Ferro, on the other side of the Gulf of Ajaccio - are secretly preparing the next contest in the hometown of Napoleon.
We have contacted a specialist in organisation of concerts who is related to the organisation comittee. For him, the organisation of the next contest is very unlikely, first because the biggest concert organised in Corsica was for 6,000 people, and secondly because in winter, most of the touristic infrastructures of Corsica are closed. The Retro WWWSC would have been able to come in Corsica in summer but certainly not in winter.
Nice candidate for hosting?
For other people, the most likely explanation is that Nice, the city where Jenifer grew up, could be a serious candidate for hosting the Retro WWWSC. Alizée said in an interview that she would like to see the contest be organised in Corsica or "not fat away". And which city is closer to Corsica than Nissa la bella? With a brand new concert hall next to the stadium, and just before the Carnival, Nice seems to be a very legitimate candidate.
And if Jenifer was the next French contestant?
For other people, the purpose of meeting between Jenifer and Alizée was to prepare the next contest with Jenifer as the French contestant. We'll probably know more of that in the next days...
