Guatemala has a lot of artists, very good artists, but I almost had a freaking stroke, looking for a 2000 album, ok not that true, I found one very quickly, but its from an artist i have used so much, and sometimes I want to try to give exposure to other artists, but it doesnt matter how many ways i looked, and how many roads i traveled, all of them took me to that same first album, it seems he was the only Guatemalan singer to release an album in 2000, or atleast seems that way . But im not saying that album is bad, its one of the best albums i have heard, it was the album that drew me closer to that artist, so maybe i cannot choose other artist, but Im pretty happy with my decision, all this explanation is to say that if im choosing him, is because for the life of me, i cannot find another 2000 albums. Artist: Ricardo Arjona Song: Cuando Timeslot: 3:37+

It's that time of the year, when a suggestion get's it's dust wiped off and sees the daylight! It's gonna be none other than a (born in Latvia) russian Soprano singer with five-octave vocal range who uses falsetto so beautifully that no one escapes the charm! He is THE ONE who owns 5 times more fans than Orlando Bloom does in China! He is the one whom you are physically unable to stop listening to... He is VITAS! The song "Opera #2" is his signature song, which he first performed in december of 2000. In 2001 he released his first album, which also included this specific song. I hope you'll enjoy it! Vitas - "Opera #2" (1:55 onwards, please) PIC: Here's the live version from 2000 - his debut (and also some proofs that he is actually singing that live, without autotune or anything else):

Lovebugs - Bitter Moon
It was actually a process to find this song, because all the other songs I found have already competed here (and mainly sucked ). Bitter Moon has reached the charts in late February 2000 and that was the band's third appearance (out of 11) there.

Here comes my entry from a known singer. With this song she participated in Slovenska popevka (Slovenian Popular Song) festival 2000 and finished 3rd.
Nuša Derenda - Čez dvajset let (In Twenty Years)
The song is pretty sad and talks about how a man tells her, he loves someone else. And then they'll meet in twenty years and they'll regret it, but it'll be too late.
