NORTH KOREAN HEAD OF DELEGATION STEPS DOWN
KCTV declared North Korean participation highly unlikely after hosting the Second Winners Edition held in the capital Pyongyang. The massive budget spent on organizing the event took a massive toll in the financial situation of the broadcaster, making participation much less affordable in the future. Participation becomes even more unlikely as news broke out that the long-time Head of Delegation, whose name is now revealed was Ma Leu Tin (마르틴), had stepped down from his former position. For the time being, fan favorites North Korea will not participate in OASC #21.
I've had a lot of fun with North Korea ever since I debuted with them in the 6th edition. It's hard to believe I managed to get three top 10 placements with such a reclusive country (even achieving a 4th place, my best result). The obvious reason for withdrawing is I've lost interest and motivation to keep going with North Korea. I think #20 was a good edition to end my run with it. I'll still be participating... just with a different country.
OMAN CONFIRMS RETURN TO OASC
Oman TV confirms that the Sultanate of Oman will make their return to OASC after a change in delegation. The Arab state's last participation was in the 18th edition. Their best result was in the 17th edition when Amy Syed's song "Lonely Love" reached 23rd place in the Grand Final. Obviously, the new delegation is determined to achieve a better placement. Their entry will be revealed in due time.
I've kept an eye on Oman for some time and gotten interested in claiming it. I asked Josh's Tattoo (Inactive) via PM if I would be allowed to take it. He said yes.

COME TO BAHRAIN!Riffa - After the successful 14th place, achieved by Ahllam last edition, Bahrain is proud to announce the next representative of the Middle Eastern Kingdom.
Over the past few months, our delegation has been in talks with many famous Bahraini artists, including Banah, Yazz Ahmed and Flamingods. On 6 September 2019, BRTC stated that a representative had finally been found and that it would be presented the following day. Without further ado, let us introduce: FRANK TURNER He will sing for us in Yemen... SISTER ROSETTA Timeslot: 3:18+ MORE INFOFrank Turner was born in Manama in 1981 to British parents. His father worked there as a banker. He spent the first years of his life in Manama and then his family moved back to England. In 2001 he started his career. He is a punk and folk musician.'Sister Rosetta' is the lead single of Turner's latest album, 'No Man's Land' (released on 16 August 2019). The lyrics tell the story of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, a gospel singer and guitarist from the 30s who heavily influenced later rock-and-roll musicians.BAHRAIN IN OWN ASIAVISION SONG CONTEST Bahrain debuted in the 14th edition hosted in Kuala Lampur. The Kingdom's first result was a disappointing last place in the semifinal, followed by another non-qualification the following edition. Bahrain subsequently withdrew and returned in the 17th edition, achieving its first qualification thanks to Ahllam. After a break lasted 2 editions, Bahrain returned to the contest in the twentieth edition under a new HoD, and has been participating since then. We wish best of luck to every participant and to Turner!
