I don’t remember giving permission for Nuie to debut YET, for the reason explained in the PM.

I mean I personally have no problem with Niue participating, as long as New Caledonia and French Polynesia, but if we compare their population with the population of Niue, I am pretty sure that they can handle sending songs for several editions, while I don’t think there are plenty of Nuieian(?) singers. Besides that, i’d prefer if countries with higher level of independence to be prioritized when it comes about participating, such as Vanuatu Kiribati or Solomon Islands, not only because of their population but also because we already have 52 countries and imagine if we add all the territories then we’d probably have plenty of them and will be hard to handle the semifinal at some point.

If you think like this, you shouldn't have allowed the French territories as well. If they can participate, Niue should as well. I don't really see a point, restricting Niue's participation. Btw. Niue has a music industry, which is big enough to participate. #JusticeForNiue

Niuean broadcaster forced to withdraw from Own Asiavision.
The head of delegation states:
''We are a small nation with a big heart and spirit. Niue had a lot to offer to this contest but I sadly announce that the unsuccessful negotiations with the Broadcasting Union leaves us no choice but to withdraw. Unclear rules and criterias about allowing which nations to debut leads to this decision. We can't force them to accept us, if they're not interested in involving us however we have done everything to participate. We think that they should encourage more countries to participate, rather than sticking to the same countries in order to ''Celebrate Diverstiy'', as the Eurovision Song Contest suggests. #GoNiue #WeAreNiue''

Despite the bad placing of Kuwait last edition they are more than happy to participate this edition! They hope to improve their result and qualify to the grand final by sending a more 'safer' and less experimental entry than last edition The entry will be... Tamara Qaddoumi - Flowers Will Rot We wish her the best of luck in Yemen!
