Holy Moly guacamole... What just happened there? I don't remember any contest with the top 4 within 2 points... I can easily imagine Tufkai getting crazy while he was collecting the votes. There are spicy details in the votes like giving to and giving back the same amount of points (so in a sense joshua you didn't really put yourself out) but also the IRL "enemies" and sending big points to each other ( from to and from to ).
Thank you so much for this victory, which is very meaningful to me. I had the feeling that this third round with Turkey could also be my last (the number of countries is going to grow very soon) and that I should take risks in order to bring the trophy back home. I didn't know exactly what to expect from this song, which is very particular, and because choosing a 25s long timeslot was a complete nightmare (due to the tempo and the diversity of the song). But that voice was so incredible that it was worth it... It's also a great comeback for jazz singers, that I left a bit after the disappointing results of Simona Molinari some years ago, but Nikki Yanofsky finishing 2nd of TASC encouraged me to explore that field again.
Thank you also because this is the first time I have four wins in the same contest (but the first three ones were ages ago: #05 Fishbach, #08 Served and #09 Siri Nilsen). I've had a lot of epic moments in this contest (positive or negative), the most remarkable ones being the unexpected two wins in a row with Norway, the missed second win in a row with #06 and Florina's masterpiece "Va va vis" finishing only 5th (I discovered this very early since I subscribed to her channel before she became a professional singer) and Elif Kaya finishing second (one of the songs I sent I prefer). So thank you again for this victory, the first one in 19 months. I already have some ideas for next edition but I'll search a bit more (I think in particular about a song that is somewhere in my warehouse but I don't know if I'll be able to dig it out).
