Michigan Announces Our First Artist At OUSC Detroit, 27 August 2020 - With the announcement of the Own USAVision Song Contest, the Michigan Association of Broadcasters has announced that they will be present at the first installment of the contest, held in California. A search was sent to find our artist, and we are ready to share who it will be flying the Michigander flag in OUSC first.
Sufjan Stevens
Sufjan Stevens is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born in 1975 in Detroit and was raised there until he was 9, when his family moved to Petosky (in the northern Lower Penninsula). He was raised by his father Rasjid and his stepmother Pat, only occasionally visiting his mother, Carrie, in Oregon after she married her second husband Lowell Brams. Brams later became the head of Stevens's record label Asthmatic Kitty. Stevens attended the Detroit Waldorf School, Petoskey High School and Interlochen Arts Academy, and graduated from Harbor Light Christian School. He then attended Hope College in Holland, and then earned an MFA from The New School in New York City. As of 2010, Stevens lives in New York City, where he is a member of the Brooklyn staff of Asthmatic Kitty Records.
The song which he will perform is
Mystery of Love3:29+ yes there is an official MV for the song but it has too much background noise and i tried to make a version of it with a clean audio but that just wouldn't work Music & Lyrics: Sufjan Stevens Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) © 2020

But now it's time to reveal the first Louisianan representative. Big FreediaFreddie Ross Jr. (born January 28, 1978), better known by her stage name Big Freedia, is an American musician known for her work in the New Orleans genre of hip hop called bounce music.
