Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?

Cape Verde provisionally confirms
Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana RTC has confirmed the presence of Cape Verde in the archipielago country of Seychelles.
We did not expect the outcome of the last edition, being one of the countries with it's presence in all finals was an honour for our small country, but eveything has its ending. Due to this the whole country has a feeling of defeat, OAfSC7's final was the less viewed final since the first edition.
Some artists have been contacted, but most of them declined their participation due to a possible failure. News will come soon. Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana © 2021

GHANA ENTRY REVEAL
After achieving another top 5 result, Ghana will obviously be present in the upcoming edition in the non-neighboring Seychelles. As a direct finalist we decided to send a more risky entry than usual.
Cina Soul and Pheelz will represent the West African country in the final of the 8th edition with the song "12:01" (ADM Remix).

NIGER CALLING! Baguera and Filo la Diva will try their best to deserve their spot in the final with Guilguiza Guindi! (Probably in Zarma language, it seems to be Filo la Diva’s singing language on other songs.)

Mizíkí ya Kɔ́ngɔ-Kinsásá na Seyshel Kinshasa, 16 June 2021 - Winning Mizíkí ya Kɔ́ngɔ-Kinsásá na Seyshel, is
Petite Noir
Born 24 August, 1990, in Brussels to a Angolan mother and a Congolese father, Yannick Ilunga, better known by the stage name of Petite Noir, is a post-punk-afrobeat artist who grew up split between Kinshasa and Brussels, and currently based in Cape Town. Ilunga started his carrer in 2009, but only released his first single in 2012. His first major break came in 2015, when his debut ep, The King of Anxiety, was praised by Pitchfork. His debut album was released later in the same year, where it gained an aggregate score of 79/100 on Metacritic. A new album that featured his OAfSC entry was released in October 2018. Having tied with two of Mélissa Yansané's songs in the first round of Mizíkí ya Kɔ́ngɔ-Kinsásá na Seyshel, he eventually triumphed in the gold final, winning by 3 votes over both of Mélissa Yansané's songs, which meant that she placed second for the second edition in a row, as such, she will be invited to represent the nation next edition with a special edition of Mizíkí ya. The song that Petite Noir will perform in Seychelles is:

GUINEA-BISSAU "Like a Zombie" Ain TheMachine & Alana Sinkëy
Instead of drum machines, Ain TheMachine uses his body and random objects to create fresh beats. Rather than synthesisers, he uses the voice to create bass-lines, pads and melodies among other insane sounds. With the help of technology, Ain TheMachine transforms his entire surroundings into full-fledged dance numbers. His journey as a musician, composer and music producer has taken him on to becoming a Latin Grammy nominee.
Alana Sinkëy was born in Lisbon, in 1990. The singer and songwriter, is originally from Bissau, was raised in Portugal and now lives in Spain. As the lead singer and composer of the Madrid based soul band Cosmosoul, she toured the world to promote their three albums.

Tunisian entry reveal! La chanson tunisienne a été révélée par ERTT! تم الكشف عن الأغنية التونسية
Sfax, Tunisia - 11th August 2021ERTT has revealed who will represent Tunisia in the upcoming edition of Own Africavision Song Contest, to be held in the Seychelles. After a very respectable 10th place in Madagascar, achieved by Amal Cherif, many artists around Tunisia and Tunisians abroad submitted their applications to ERTT to represent the nation. However, ERTT has selected one act that deserves a second chance.
With that being said, you can probably guess that we are talking about the runner up of La chanson tunisienne 02 last edition, Sirine Miled. Sirine Miled is a Tunisian singer from Sfax, and splits her time between Tunisia and Dubai, where she is based. She came very close to representing Tunisia last edition, but she fell short of the ticket by 2 votes. Now, ERTT will be giving her another chance to shine - this time in the actual contest.
She will sing the song that she tried to represent the country with last time, Pam Pam, in the Seychelles. The song is in Arabic, but has a few words and phrases in English and French, much like the previous entry, No No.
timeslot: soon
You can also stream our song on Spotify below:
Good luck to Sirine Miled! !حظ سعيد لسيرين ميلاد Bonne chance à Sirine Miled!
