First of all, huge thank you to the voters for pointing Sovarasma this edition! "Eat Men Eat" is a jarring song which can be quite polarising, but I'm glad this has found some avid fans. Despite not doing as well as last edition, I'm still very thankful for a 18th place as I'm still new to FC. Thanks to Callum and Lars for 12 points, Martin, Jakub, Alex for 10 points, and Justin for 8 points. Huge congratulations to Joseph for the win! This sounds really big with a catchy and iconic chorus. It also has garnered a certain amount of popularity already. It is no surprise to see this do really well, and deservingly so. I was a bit shocked to see this not pick up any points until I gave some. Sadly not the most memorable song for me in the contest, but still a great finish at number 2 regardless. I got really hooked by the chorus and the tape measure will forever be iconic. It has a lot of poise and style. This definitely deserves an AQ spot. "Cisgender" is a stunning song. It has a beautiful melody, and the instrumentation is perhaps not the most unique but it brings the song a lot of power and momentum. Shamir's vocals are blisteringly good. His high notes at the latter part of the song gives me goosebumps. It is otherworldly. Not to say about the message of the song... very powerful message about being non-binary. This song will definitely echo a lot for some and I'm grateful for him to share his feelings here. This should have been higher but glad to see this picking up a couple of 12 pointers. This is really fun. It is a completely different character than "Cisgender" but "Madeline" definitely knows how to throw a party. The lyrics in the chorus are memorable and I like how this is not sung but spoken with a catchy beat. This is really iconic. It is short, but it should be. There is no need to extend the length of the song. This is amazing and this deserves to get an AQ spot. This is stunning. I love the ethnic elements in this song and the melody is beautiful. I love the unique harmony here too. This certainly stands out in the final. Great job getting an AQ spot! This is the discovery of the contest for me. I love the instrumentation and the vocals are strong. The beat is quite unusual too. I recently got into Selma Uamusse's music and her latest "Nyanyana" is art. I hope to see more of Selma Uamusse in the future with her collaborating with different producers. The music is sonically interesting. Hate to see this flop at 23rd. This has a powerful hook. It is a great Balkan pop song. I love the melody and the different and special harmonies displayed here. The instrumental break is also fascinating. Great to see this getting top 10. This is a great French pop song. The instrumentation is interesting though the entirety of the song isn't showing off novel musical ideas. It is quite a vibe though. This holds a powerful message and the overall package is strong. It kinda grew off me as time wears on but this is still amazing. Good to see this in the top 10. Another iconic song from BeBe! This grew on me a bit. Both entries are really nice too, and barely missed out on my votes. Selected NQs: SF1 I'm very shocked to see this NQ. This is very accessible and I thought it fits the audience well. It did win in another contest I was in, so I was even more astonished here. This has an interesting chorus with a switch-up in the instrumentation, and then opens up with a brighter timbre. I wish this is slightly longer and the vocals show a bit more variety. This is still a really sound song however, but I think it might have ended up in the wrong semi. Also a bit of a shocker for me. I think this type of K-pop entries tend to do well in SCF contests, but as far as K-pop songs go, they are quite inconsistent in FC. This sounds huge and already has a following. Not sure what happened here... 13th place isn't what I would predict either. It is sonically nice and I did enjoy it in full. SF2 I'm very surprised this did not qualify. I'm even more surprised that this is nowhere near qualifying. This sounds mysterious but it has progression. I love how the first chorus is more stripped back and then the instrumentation starts to kick in for the next few choruses. It is solid, and the vocals are interesting too. It grapples my attention at least. This finishing 2nd last is criminal. This is beautiful though it is slow, but the soundscape is wonderful. I don't think this deserves last. The vocals are interesting and I was pleasantly surprised by the song. SF3 Gate is an amazing artist. The sounds they create are unbelievable and unique. This although doesn't grab me that much in full, the sound alone deserves points from me. To see this just losing out on qualification is sad. This is pretty cute and quirky. It kinda faded off from my memory but would have expected this to finish a bit higher. I will be back with another edition of Xoculd Yumngokzit, with another 10 fantastic entries, and I hope you will enjoy the selection once again!
