Hello to everyone!
We know that the 29th edition of the WWW Song Contest hasn't even begun yet but we're already in the heat of the 30th edition!
As some of you might know, every 10th edition of the WWW Song Contest is a special one! This means that we have a particular theme which is some kind of 'restriction' for players.
For instance, our 10th edition had the theme 'Songs not in English nor in any of your official languages' and players had to submit songs performed in another language apart from English and any of their official languages.
The theme of the 20th edition was 'Retro songs' and players were asked to send in songs released before 2000.
What about the 30th edition though?
IT'S UP TO YOU TO DECIDE!
We decided to ask you and let you have your own say about the theme of the next special edition. This means that you can submit your own ideas! Here are the rules of submission:
1. Send your proposed theme(s) to either me or Florian (ferrygraf) as a Personal Message ONLY (Suggestions made in the comments won't count). You can surely reveal what you suggested as a comment in this thread afterwards, if you want to discuss it with the other players!
2. You can suggest as many themes as you wish. Later, a deadline will be set. After that date, no more suggestions will be accepted.
3. Afterwards, Florian and I will collect all suggestions and discuss about them. We'll then pick the best ones (the number of the themes we'll choose depends on the number of suggestions we'll have collected) and then we'll open a poll for you!
4. You will just have to vote in the poll and the one with the most votes will win it! This will be our theme for the 30th edition!
* We would also like to let you know that themes which include switching countries or Eurovision-related themes which might 'exclude' non-European countries will not be accepted. Hence, general themes would be ideal! *
For any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Looking forward to receiving your suggestions!
Greetings !
