CHAPTER 8.
"UNDER THE WEATHER"A few weeks before the trial, several leaflets entitled "MISSING" had been spread around town.
They read:
"MISSING
Our beloved citizen, Laimis is nowhere to be found.
He was last seen going to the forest."
Since he never showed up, the happening was blamed on the murderers.TOWN TRIAL! BEGIN!The Mayor started the meeting: "Well, who'd like to start?"
The room was quiet, but Asi raised his hand. "I think it's Christian AT. He just seems overly suspicious to me." @eurovisiongermany stated his agreement by nodding quietly.
Franck quickly jumped in shouting: "No! It's obviously Anesović. My pigs told me that."
"Yes, I agree with Franck. Anesović does seem very very suspicious," said Llemian.
The room got very quiet again. (Only Franck's pigs could be heard squealing in the background.)
Jess, usually quiet, started speaking. "Well, I propose it could be Anton, or anyone, for that matter."
"You know what, this discussion never gives any proper results," said Matt, who was still in his belly dancing outfit. "Face it, that we can't accept a consensus."
The room was quiet, once again.
"Why is everyone so quiet today?" asked Anesović.
"I don't know, I guess we're all a bit under the weather," said Valentin O'Brien. "On that note, I actually think the killer could be Franck. His pigs are always angry at me, it's like they're trained to attack people. Maybe that's what he uses to murder people?"
The room suddenly got very loud with accusations coming from each direction.
"I STILL THINK IT'S Christian AT!" shouted Asi.
"IT'S OBVIOUSLY Kenajabam!" shouted Anesović.
"Guys, guys, calm down. Let us vote now, like civilized people," said Christian AT.
"Agreed, the vote will start now," said the Mayor while the room quieted.THE VOTINGChristian AT was carried over to the guillotine. He protested: "No, don't! Believe me! I'm no murderer! It's someone else! Please..."
*SLASH*
The guillotine fell on his head.
"No, wait!"
@garameaning ran towards the guillotine
"He's innocent!" but it was too late... "He was the doctor..."
The crowd realized their mistake. Yet another innocent person killed. TO BE CONTINUED. |
