The National South African Broadcaster SABC showed interest to broadcast NVSC 8 in all the three nights. So the two semi-finals and the final will be broadcasted respectively on 19th, 26th May and 2nd of June LIVE from Sarajevo.

Since the official NVSC #8 Album has been realised, a lot of people bought it in the last 3 days. They were asked to vote for the best 10 songs in an online poll, and here are the most popular songs in South Africa:
#1  Nabiha: "Bang that Drum"
#2  Sellyy: "Alles Schläft"
#3  Janna: "Sä Et Ole Hullu"
#4  Jannika B: "Seuraavaan Elämään"
#5  Therése Neaimé: "Sold to Perfection"
#6  Leila & Charlie Brown: "Presque arrivés"
#7  Angelika Vee feat. Jérémy Amelin: "Oh, Oh"
#8  Nathalie: "Vivo Sospesa"
#9  Vera Brezhneva: "Dobroe Utro"
#10  La Quinta Estación: "Recuérdame"
Therefore, for the first time, a NVSC song entered Top 10 iTunes, and it's "Sold to Perfection" which reached more than 4000 downloads in the last 3 days.

The four juries who are gonna vote in the 2nd Semi-final and in the Grand Final are revealed. Due to some technical problems there was used an extra jury to vote in the first Semi-final, but the problem has been fixed and the new system will be used further. And here are the name of the juries:
- Brequette Shane Cassie
- Nádine Hoffeldt
- Dean Geyer
- Simon Attwell
The juries voting will consist 50% from overall rank, therefore Televoting will decide the another 50%

Well, after the results of the first semi-final are finally up, we have to say that we are happy that our top 2 made it. Sadly our brothers from north, Morocco failed, and we could predict just 4 of the qualifiers  but never mind we wish a lot of luck to our favorites in the grand final. |
