Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix

In a meeting earlier today, the Faroese broadcaster KVF discussed
their ideas for making North Vision even more popular in the Nordic countries.
This especially applies to the Faroe Islands that are still to debut in
the North Vision Song Contest. Annika M. Jacobsen, head of the broadcaster,
had the idea of creating a little spin-off of the North Vision Song Contest
for the Nordic countries. Every country would send an unknown singer who
has yet to discover the world of music. The first edition of the spin-off
would be organized by KVF but there would be the rule that the winner
would host the next edition. KVF invites the following nations:

Denmark
Finland
Iceland
Norway
Sweden

So what do you think? Is this a nice idea? We would just send unknown
songs, that either didn't make it to our National Selections or just
"aren't good enough for NVSC" to this spin-off for Nordic countries.

There would be a little recap and the winner would host the next edition.
It would also be cool if every country would have to send an entry
in their native language. Would you participate?

My first reaction was like: Meh...

Second reaction: Why actually not? Unknown songs Unknown artists Songs in the native language Plus I'd really like to select a Swedish entry internally once at least

So, if the other nordic countries are up to do it, then me too!

I would love to create this, as in reality, this contest kind of existed
(Just for the JESC until 2009). And it wouldn't be much work as there would
be a maximum of 6 participants + it would keep it small.

I will wait until Miloš Rick and Vaios told their opinion aswell
so I can start thinking about how exactly we would do this

Should we do a "rest of the world" vote or should we seperate the Nordics from the rest?

I think no "Rest of the World" voters.

Cause it's a Nordic business here

I am for a ROTW voting!
But maybe they could have half of the influence we Nordics have or sth

Like we vote with: 20 - 16 - 12 - 8 - 4
ROTW voting: 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 0

I don't mind if they do or if they don't

If many people vote as ROTW then, they have a very very small influence
as we can decide the whole vote of our country and they just as a little
part of the same voting. Anyway, I don't mind but without ROTW
it is more realistic if anyone cares...
