If I may ask. I don't see a official rulebook over the national selection. What are the rules of making a national selection?

If I may ask. I don't see a official rulebook over the national selection. What are the rules of making a national selection? It's true that we do not really have any restrictions concerning the NS but since you've asked, I'll actually let you know a bit more about them. We personally consider National Selections as 'very small contests' which are created by our users. Just like we have our rules for our contest, the user who creates the NS is responsible to follow any format they desire, meaning the voting procedure, the number of participants etc. However, it's considered essential that all songs included in the NS have to be performed by artists who come from the country the user represents in the actual contest, as the winner of the NS has to be someone able to represent the country in the competition As for creating a thread etc, you can surely do so whenever you wish to open a NS in our National Selections & Polls thread Hope it's clear to you now Greetings

I want to implement a 7 1/2 week long NS (very long, I know) but fear it's too long.

Anesović MordecaiActually there is a rule section about national finals: ovsc.proboards.com/thread/8545/rules (scroll down a bit, number 11.) As Mimis said though, there are no real limitations from our side... Mordecai: Well, one edition lasts about one month. If you want to host such a long NF, you can start it now and send the winner song in Edition #34 for instance. There are no duration rules or so... You can also host a NF for Edition #50 already now, that's all up to you
