Sounds of Croatia 2 (NVSC #11) - Announcement thread

Good evening Europe!
Now that HRT has gotten the applications for jury places, we are proud to announce the schedule, hosts and city for this event.

Let's start with the host.


Lidija Bačić, a Croatian singer, will host the national selection. Upon asking her about participation in Sounds of Croatia, she stated that: ''I don't have an intention to take part in NVSC at present but with recent developments, I could be if I win a certain selection not Croatian.. *laugh* But even so, I'll surely take part for a Sounds of Croatia in the future.

The host city for this event is Dubrovnik. Located on the Adriatic Sea, in the Croatian region of Delmatia, is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean and attracts many visitors a year due to it's history climate and sights.

These are subject to change; meaning we do not know the schedule for #11 at all so if we must change something to be more suitable for North Vision Song Contest, HRT will inform.

Because of the estimated speed of this national selection, HRT wants to start these announcements as soon as possible, the first being tomorrow morning/afternoon.

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
The announcements are officially kicking off. The first artist to compete in Sounds of Croatia #2 is..






























SEVERINA!


A popular Croatian singer in recent years, Severina, has confirmed her participation in the selection. Severina is no stranger to Eurovision at all; in 2006 she represented Croatia with ''Moja Stikla'' and ended 12th.
Severina announces that she will be collaborating with someone which is called ''Ministarke''. Although you can probably guess the song, the announcement of that will come!

SECOND ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT
The second artist was also chosen by HRT. She has shown interest in North Vision Song Contest for some time to represent her home country, Croatia. Well she can now try to do so as the next artist is..
































IVANA RADOVNIKOVIC!


The 28 year old Croatian singer born in Zadar, has received many awards in her life, including best vocal interpretation. As a child, she didn't aspire to be a musician, but her life and talent gave her a chance to be one. She was first signed with Croatia records in 2004 and released ''Moj si anđeo'' (You're my angel). She gave a clue regarding her song, that it would be a slow song.

The third artist(s) is a group which was chosen by HRT after being suggested by Bosna i Hercegovina!


























LINES AND COLOURS 

The popular Croatian group has had singles such as ''Beautiful Addiction'' - their most popular one. However, the lead singer of the group confirmed that they would not sing Beautiful addiction, and instead would opt for another powerful song!

FOURTH ANNOUNCEMENT
HRT feels that a little dance needs to be added to SoC#2. That's why, the next group to take part is..


























COLONIA


The Croatian dance trio from Vinkovci, Croatia, has released 9 albums and 27 singles to date. They have been active since 1996. In 1998, they entered HRT Dora, which was the pre-selection for Croatia to the Eurovision Song Contest 1998. They did try with the song ''U ritmu ljubavi'' but only placed 4th with 87 points. In 2007, the song ''Pogledom me skini'' was placed into the Croatian NS for OGAE Song Contest 2007, but just like 1998, ended 4th.
