Not funny at all... imagine yourself if you had to listen to 123 singers in a row! And they all sing in acapella! Doesn't look pretty interesting, right? We all are people and sometimes we just get bored or tired after some time... and I think no one said them that someone photographs them right now, so they didn't know which moment they should smile at  And on the other hand, sometimes that's how people look when they're trying to focus on something - I have the same thing (no wonder teachers always thought that I think something bad about them or their subject if I look like that, but that's just how I look when I'm focusing  Chill out. It was a joke, there is no need to attack him. I know it was a joke and I'm not attacking him, just telling my opinion... latvians don't like if they're underrated (mostly thank's to stereotypes) when the competition hasn't even started yet... no one takes Latvia serious (while big and rich countries are favorites everywhere) until we prove ourselves and even then we get underrated by some others... there are many examples I could tell, but there's no need I guess... |

This is something I did not expect to read, but!Samanta Tīna submitted her song for this years "Supernova 2015", but got rejected, because she "didn't fill all the papers she needed". Although she said she didn't even knew about some of those papers.  Rumor - in the same article they write that the winner is already decided and everything is made just to cover it up, because people who are in jury (Guntars Račs and Dons) are interested in this artist to win - and even all participants already talk that the winner will be exactly that artist - Antra Stafecka. The other favorite to victory is Aminata Savadogo, which is also both jury members favorite. We'll see what'll happen, but this sounds serious! Personally I'm not against Aminata's or Antra's song, but against the way the winner has been decided.

sad about Samanta Tīna... but yes, Latvia is really really really underrated.... I know it from my experiences with Latvia here... I personally had no problem with Latvian songs in ESC, but honestly...Samanta Tīna sent much better songs for '13 & '14 than the winner entries of their respective selection... Last year, I think many songs were robbed, Stay,You are the Reason,Lights on,Here I am again, Saule riet, I can breathe... but let's see... I wish to see Antra or Aminata in ESC I love their works, but both of them were prettty underrated in NVSC for example.. |
