My views on the themes, considering that Im Luxembourg 1. “Other players decide the artist for you – you decide the song”: Each player will be given a participating country. They will have to choose an artist from this country and then the player of the country will have to submit a song performed by that artist (as a solo artist or as part of a duet/band). I wish the best of luck to the player who has to choose an artist for me 2. “Brand new songs (released from August 2016 on)”: Players will only have to submit brand new songs that were released in August 2016 earliest. That will be a harder one for me. 3. “Troll Edition (Funny/Joke songs)”: Only funny songs will be accepted. In case a song doesn’t sound as a funny entry to us, the player will have to provide us with a suitable and convincing reason for submitting it. YAS PLEASE 4. “Sending a song based on one of our 49 winners (decided by draw)”: A winner will be given to each player. Then, the entry submitted should be somehow relevant to that winner. For instance, it could be something inspired from the title or a line from the lyrics of the song, a song of the same language or with the same title, a duet with the winning artist, a song performed by a band in case it’s a band that had won etc. (As the number of players exceeds 49, some winning entries will be used more than once). Waiting for the moment I get a winner I dislike to choose a horrible song, and then saying its inspired by the winner being awful. 5. “Ethnic/Traditional songs/Songs about your country”: The entry could include ethnic/traditional sounds or it could be a song talking about the country you represent. Songs performed in a national dialect or in a minority language of the country are also accepted. Lëtzebuergesch ftw! 6. “Casting show winners/participants”: The artist should be a contestant of a previous/current series of a casting show (his/her result in the show shall not count). 7. “Live edition (only live performed songs)”: The audio provided should be part of a live performance (e.g. a performance taken from a concert). 8. “Songs from 2011 (1st year of the contest)”: The submitted entries should have a release date between the 1st of January and the 31st of December of 2011, as that was the year that the WWW Song Contest began. All themes where I could find something, but which arent really attractive to me.

Maybe to clarify that: We won't have a limit next edition, in case more than 51 people want to join. That's because, depending on the theme, you might need a bit more time to think of a suitable entry. This way you don't have to hurry to find something. Also the submission time should be a bit longer than usually.

OMG finally! And many great ideas! The first one would be the most interesting one I think, but I guess it would take a long time until everyone confirms and once we have all the confirmed countries, then everyone has to select a singer for another country, and then we must choose the song.. But still, apart from that, this would be a fun one. The brand new songs idea is dangerous for sending songs that might end up at ESC (i'm being very careful since a song of mine ended up in A Dal ) I also like the one about the previous winners, it's a nice way to celebrate this pretty number of 50, just like with the 2011 songs. But I would be happy with almost all the ideas, I find them interesting! Well, maybe except the one about the casting show winners, as I guess many of us send them anyway

First theme is actually really interesting, though I would like not to use Lauris Reiniks again (that's for the person who'll choose my artist, if this theme wins) Song based on winners is also interesting theme, but then we might need a translation for some of them, because not all of us know, for example, finnish language (I mean to understand the lyrics) Overall I think I'd be ok with any of these themes

The brand new songs idea is dangerous for sending songs that might end up at ESC (i'm being very careful since a song of mine ended up in A Dal ) Good that's not a problem for me as songs who are entered to be a part of our NS (EMA) aren't allowed to be released or played anywhere before the National Selection

After a long time of waiting and suggesting plenty of interesting ideas (thank you for your time and dedication), the moment has finally come! We have considered every single suggestion of every single player and we present you the 8 ideas that we, the WWW Song Contest Admins, think would be the most interesting for our Special 50th Edition! Please vote for up to 3 themes and if you want to, you can also add your comments in the space provided at the bottom of the poll. Here is a small explanation of each of the themes:
1. “Other players decide the artist for you – you decide the song”: Each player will be given a participating country. They will have to choose an artist from this country and then the player of the country will have to submit a song performed by that artist (as a solo artist or as part of a duet/band). 2. “Brand new songs (released from August 2016 on)”: Players will only have to submit brand new songs that were released in August 2016 earliest. 3. “Troll Edition (Funny/Joke songs)”: Only funny songs will be accepted. In case a song doesn’t sound as a funny entry to us, the player will have to provide us with a suitable and convincing reason for submitting it. 4. 5. “Ethnic/Traditional songs/Songs about your country”: The entry could include ethnic/traditional sounds or it could be a song talking about the country you represent. Wondering where you will find the poll? The link will be shortly sent to you as a Personal Message. The reason is that we don't want anyone else, apart from people who are currently taking part or who might wish to return to vote for the theme of the edition, in which they will or might submit an entry. What do you think? Let us hear from you! We hope you share the same excitement as we do!

Also the submission time should be a bit longer than usually. 4 instead of 3 days?
