NEW ERMIAN FLAG
Ermy has a history of debate about whether the national flag should be changed. For several decades, alternative designs have been proposed, with varying degrees of support. There is no consensus among proponents of changing the flag as to which design should replace the flag. Unlike in Lakadamia, the flag debate in United Islands of Ermy is occurring independently of debate about becoming a independent.
Today, after the public voting, The results of the referenda were binding, meaning the flag with the most votes in the referendum would be the new official flag of Ermy. After a really close voting, Ermians selected their flag.

Scandal in De Vremdspongeln; Lykke Li's statement after her winning of En Vremd Lied 5


Major Vremd newspapers have written today about an interesting thing from Lykke Li's past. The biggest and most popular online website, vrews.dv wrote the following:

SCANDAL AROUND FANTASIA CONTEST! The newly selected Vremd representative, Lykke Li claims that she grew up in Achróa in a smear propaganda against our country. More details expected to come soon.

The news generated a big indignation in the country, and some riots and demostrations started, mostly in the capital, Koppan. To prevent a bigger chaos, our main television channel, De Vremd 1 asked Lykke Li to give a speech about this topic in the live TV.

Here is what Lykke said during the interview:

I can partly confirm the rumours, but I feel like a bigger explanation is needed. I indeed grew up in Achróa, and the goverment wasn't really friendly with the Vremd public, in fact every citizen in Achróa were taught that De Vremdspongeln is a terrible country, with poor life conditions and dictatorship. Every resident was prohibited from travelling to De Vremdspongeln, as it breaches the law of Achróa. Not like anyone wanted to leave the country, since from the things we've heard about the Vremd life were so shocking and brutal that no one had the intention of visiting the country. The government even made propaganda videos that attempted to discredit De Vremdspongeln, such as this video.



I always felt that these rumours smelled fishy, and so when I became 18 and a legal adult, I decided to look after the things about this country. I managed to find only a few travel guides at my grandparents' house, as most of these books were seized and burned by the government. Slowly I started to realise that this country is actually a lot nicer than what our teachers and leaders taught us, and so I worked on a plan to visit De Vremdspongeln, and on one day I managed to do so with transfer. When I arrived in this country I was already amazed by the modernity of the capital, Koppan and the fact that it was nothing similar to what I expected. The people were nice and friendly, even if I told them that I come from Achróa. Firstly I only wanted to spend a little time here, but I fell in love with the country and so I decided to stay here.


Since then the flagchroa Achróais government has changed, and now almost all countries in Fantasia get exactly the same good treatment from flagchroa Achróa. The country even released an open letter with saying "sorry for our mistakes, we're trying to change things".

I still love my birthplace, and that's one of the main reasons why I ask all the Vremd citizens to think about forgiveness, and stop the riots, instead enjoy our life until it lasts and don't let anger rule our lives. Both countries are wonderful nations, and they both deserve to live in peace and happiness. I hope you can believe me and we can live again together just how we used to until now. Peace and love to everyone

Oh and to turn things a little bit more positive, I wanna say again a big big thanks to everyone who voted for me and supported me during my journey in En Vremd Lied 5, I really hope I can get a great placement for this country and you can be proud of me.

The statement was generally praised by everyone in De Vremdspongeln, with some media sources calling it "the most touching and heart-warming speech in the history of the country". Right after the live interview, a firework show started at the heart of the country, and the residents started to celebrate and listen to their favourite songs.

First case of Zica in Katsyria!

The first case of people infected with the Zica virus was found in Katsyria.
The Department of Health confirmed the news August 24, 2017.
A married couple of Katsyrian immigrants who are living in Aquia went back to Katsyria to visit their relatives.
Part of their family members from a small town south of Petrocia, close to Trivanian border was infected.
This is due to the town being situated next to a lake, where are a lot of mosquitoes who transmitted the virus.

The people felt bad and called the ambulance.
The town was put under quarantine until the virus is going to be found and disinfected.
People are asked to be very careful and use protection for mosquitoes to avoid the bites.

The Zica virus has been found in Poránea, Aquia.
The first country where the virus was spread is Fordia.
