Good evening Europe and welcome to Söngvakeppnin Sjónvarpsins 02, for IMF #30. Iceland has decided to test their luck again by going through a national selection. The first edition of the NS brought Iceland to 13th place in the semi final with María Ólafs and "Dancing in the Storm". It was close enough, however it wasn't enough to qualify.However, let's not think about that! It's
Iceland's 30th participation, believe it or not, so this time the format will be a little bit special.10 acts will take to the stage in
Reykjavík - 5 will be past participants in IMF beforehand - this will be decided by RÚV in advance. The other 5 will be newcomers to the selection, or IMF in general.The voting system will thus be in ESC style.
Oh! And last thing - most of the songs will probably be in
Icelandic, but not all indeed.If you want to be tagged just tell me - the first announcement is tomorrow
