Lately
Laurinda threw in the thought of starting a sub-contest here: Retro WWWSC.
Mimis and I are in favour of this suggestion, it can bring even more activity and fun into our board. Laurinda would host it.
Basic idea:
Exact rules as well as the concept still have to be clarified, but basically it would just work as the regular contest, just that the songs need to have a certain age (pre-2005, pre-2000 or whatever) and that it'll probably be smaller. Furthermore people would stick to their own country just as in our main contest.
As it's a sub-contest, the current players of WWWSC have the prior claim to participate! If or how non-participants could be included, has yet to be discussed. Same goes for the maximum number of countries.
Also Retro WWWSC won't have any affect on the regular contest, in general both will be done separately. Retro WWWSC will start with Edition #1, WWWSC will continue with Edition #41. This one will get its own sub-board in the WWW Song Contest board.
With this thread we'd like to find out how many of you are interested in this project!
Confirmations aren't opened yet! First we'd like to collect enough feedback from your side to decide the concept and especially the size, afterwards we can make more detailed announcements.
