The Saturdays are going on a world tour!
It has been confirmed today that The Saturdays will embark on a world tour to promote their music participation in the Fantasia Contest. The tour, which will be promotional will see numerous television appearances, meet and greets and concerts in 35 countries around Fantasia.
"It's the perfect opportunity for us to reconnect with our fans," band member Frankie said. "Team Sats have been incredibly loyal and supportive throughout the band's career and the least we can do for them is visit them before we take to the biggest stage of Fantasia in the Fantasia Contest."
"We are also looking to put our names, our music and our faces out there on everyone's television screens," Rochelle said. "That way by the time the competition swings around there is a high chance they will recognise us and vote for us."
The promotional tour will feature cameo appearances from Fantasia Contest participants.
Broadcaster GTV has supposedly contributed $5 million towards the tour, saying the broadcaster is 'willing to do whatever it takes for The Saturdays to make history in the competition'. The tour announcement comes after Glaraian media was in a frenzy after one of the country's biggest stars, Elvana Gjata, failed to qualify in the competition earlier in the day.
