The Republic of Amelia Is Established!

The coup d'état Amelian government is happy to announce the launch of the state's very own news broadcaster; the Nora News Service (morning news with a crunch!).

Broadcasting live from the capital Méiguijing was famous Amelian TV personality Gemma Collins, aka the newly appointed chief-anchor of NNS, to whom was seen beaming with pride as she announced the official formation of the Republic of Amelia. This signifies an end to the 23 year coup by the Lendy People's Army after mass uprisings by millions of Amelians nationwide proved simply too much for the dictatorship to handle. LPA chiefs are being tried for treason. Meanwhile, Méiguijing is reported to be looking forward to establishing relations with fellow Centralia nations.

Evämaa formally recognizes the Republic of Amelia and has announced plans to create diplomatic relations between the two countries. Evämaian president Topi Niinisalo is planning to visit the capital within the month.

Following a lift of government restrictions on media, the former state-TV channel has been replaced with the brand new Méi-lì TV! MLTV launched with a medley from one of the most popular Amelian musicians; Jolin Tsai! She has had a string of number one hits including "Sun Will Never Set" and "Play" and had been a frontrunner in campaigning for civil rights across the former Lendy.

Meanwhile, Amelians welcome Evämaa President Topi Niinisalo and the  Angosturan ambassador to a tour of Méiguijing.

Festival of the Spirits 2015 Celebrations

November 28 marks the Festival of the Spirits across Amelia, Grace and some neighbouring countries. In Méiguijing fireworks were set off from the Mei 101 tower, which was formerly the tallest building in the world. Historically fireworks were used to scare away evil spirits from the ancient Lina Dynasty.

Just saying: Sarindon, capital of Lanovina, is also based on Seoul so I'd be glad if you'd use photos of other cities in the future, as it would be weird if your city would look the same as my capital

Amelia To Develop Nuclear Weapons

Following the announcement that the Republic of Amelia is to join the United Nations, the government has allowed the Nora News Service to announce to the world that Amelia is to develop a small nuclear arsenal. This ensues the Flírskmasto terror attack and the increase Amelian military budget. President Ai Wen gave a press conference earlier, stating that "in times of international crisis, it is only right that the Amelian nation has the means to defend itself".

Amelia's favourite presenter and reality star Gemma Collins made the announcement on the morning news. The move is fairly popular with the citizens, with an early article reporting 64% support from the people.
