LICENSE PLATES IN GLARAY

The first two letters correspond to in which region the vehicle was purchased - IM for Imeri, VA for Vallese, VI for Viera and PE for the Peroni Islands.
The third letter is either D or I - This letter is determined by whether the car was made domestically or internationally.
The four numbers are randomly generated.

The 'Shqiponjë' or double headed eagle, a Glaraian national symbol globally recognised and affiliated with the country, is present on all license plates. As it is illegal for cars registered in Glaray to travel outside the country, this helps in the identification of stolen, hoarded or trafficked vehicles.

There is a barcode present which when used by authorities (police, fire services or ambulance), automatically generates the owner's and regular passengers' details and information. The barcode is used in emergency situations such as a car crash, a freak accident or if something happens to the owner whilst in or near the car.
