UKRAINE'S FIRST PRE-CONTEST UPDATE!!! 1) NTU's decision on main contest jury
2) The Daily Flop Magazine's interview with the new HoD
3) Mika Newton's reaction to taking part in the ninth edition and a guest jury role 1) NTU's decision on main contest jury
National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU), Ukraine's Festival of International Music broadcaster announced with the two National Selection juries that one jury of five people will be taking over the semi-final and final decisions with Ashley Muscat, their new HoD, who transferred from a successful temporary HoD run in Northern Ireland with ITV2. Of course, there's 9 of the 10 jury members available, due to Mika Newton taking part as a contestant. The 9 jury members were judged by the heads of NTU on various things, and the broadcaster has announced the list:
1) Valentin Chmerkovskiy, professional dancer
2) Ani Lorak, former Ukrainian representative for ESC 2008, NVSC #10-#11, and FoIM #5
3) Denis Stoff, singer of English band Asking Alexandria and former lead singer of Ukrainian band Make Me Famous
4) Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, lead singer of Ukrainian band Okean Elzy
5) Dilara Kazimova, former Azerbaijani representative for ESC 2014 and former contestant of Jury Member #4's team on Holos Krainy
*NTU was forced to pay Azerbaijan about $20,000,000 USD in Ukrainian currency to secure Dilara's spot in the jury. They really wanted her.
The broadcaster has also considered celebrity reporters too. They are planning to negotiate with the host broadcaster and the contest host regarding them.
Semi-Final Proposed Reporter: Zlata Ognevich, former Ukrainian representative for ESC 2013 and NVSC #12, hosted NVSC #11 in Lviv
Grand Final Proposed Reporter: Max Barskih, former Ukrainian representative for NVSC #13 and FoIM #7 2) The Daily Flop's interview with the new HoD
As stated, the broadcaster paid almost 200,000,000 euros to ITV2 in order to secure their successful HoD in Editions #7-#8, Ashley Muscat of Florida. Now she's doing a never-before-seen interview with gossip magazine The Daily Flop. The issue will be out mid-contest. When asked about the interview, Ms. Muscat stated "I have nothing to hide. The only HoD that's clearly more successful with a country than me is Sweden. If you truly want to succeed, ask them! Almost everything else will be in this interview."
3) Mika Newton's reaction to taking part in the ninth edition and a guest jury role
Mika Newton's having the time of her life (or should be). She got a guest role in one of the NS jury and was handpicked by the broadcaster and the HoD to represent Ukraine in the ninth edition of FoIM with her song "Don't Dumb Me Down" after her successful place in ESC 2010. When asked, Newton stated "I'm so happy and grateful to NTU and Ms. Muscat to give me this opportunity. And the HoD has been successful in another country, so I hope to not let her down." Well, that's all! Good day/night from Kiev!

And the broadcaster told me to ask about the contestant reporters. *I told them there's no promises!

Good Idea! but I'm afraid that this contest is too small for such a thing. I thought so too. I was preparing for my possibly 7-10 year wait on the NVSC W/L so when I get a country, I'll be somewhat experienced That's why that tiny text with the asterisk is there. Because there's most likely no chance of it haha

Thanks! I would like to maybe suggest a FoIM country news thread? And the broadcaster told me to ask about the contestant reporters. *I told them there's no promises! Maybe in future And I will still be here too I probably won't type them too much currently. Maybe a pre-contest and post-final article because that thing gave me the keyboard version of writer's block. My favorite parts of doing that thing was the Azerbaijan part and the Daily Flop part
