 "Superhuman" It's a great song  I really love her voice, especially the high notes  "Nai Nai" OMG I love the instrumental  The whole song is so catchy, typical Romanian  "The Voice" Their voices fit so perfectly  Unfortunately the verses sound stronger than the chorus and the tempo-change doesn't fit, but it's good  "Let It Shine" I already thought Romania has only amazing songs this time, but this is ... it's quite okay but just not my cup of tea  "Behind The Shadows" It's good, but not that it would blow my mind, but I like it "Brand New Day" Okay this reminds me of a Christmas song ... I kinda like it for this reason but it could be better  "Lasa-ma, eu te las" A typical Romanian Eurovision ballade in my opinion, but not any ballad, a very good, emotional ballad "Come On Everybody" The intro is horrible  But then the typical Romanian/Moldova beat kicks in And then they begin to sing  "Never Too Late" It's also a good ballad, but not as emotional as I would like it to be, but it's good "Paradisio" Well it's okay, but I think it's not made for Eurovision if you ask me "Moment Of Silence" At first I didn't like it, but I like the mystical parts so much "I'm Coming Home" It was blocked in Germany so I thought it has to be great. And I wasn't wrong I like it very much

Selectia Nationala 2016 - My Top 1201.  Ovidiu Anton - "Moment of Silence" (It's epic! Like, really, the only song that got me wooing It also reminds me of  "Bed Of Fire"  10/10)02. Xandra - "Superhuman" (It's not really original to be fair, however it is well composed and stunningly sung!  9/10)03. Florena - "Behind The Shadows" (I mean, it's good you know, I'm just missing a climax point in this song.. 7/10)04. Vanotek feat. The Code & Georgian - "I'm coming home" (Ok, well this Major Lazer style fits the song, the composition isn't great though, nor is the voice..  7/10)05. Irina Popa - "Lasă-mă, eu te las" (Just a typical ballad, but it is listenable .. 6,5/10)06. Andra Olteanu - "Nai Nai" (Ugh this is not original either, and it is rather cheap, but hella catchy 6/10)07. Doru Todoruţ feat. Irina Baianţ - "The Voice" (Oh god just no, Serbia 2015 and San Marino 2013 don't really work anymore. The pop part sounds really cheap. 3,5/10)08.  Hayley Evetts - "Brand New Day" (... 1/10)09. Dream Walkers - "Let it Shine" (zzz 1/10)10. Mihai Băjinaru - "Never Too Late" (The vocals are poor and the song is just plain and goes nowhere. 0,5/10)11. Jukebox - "Come On Everybody" (It's a troll song, but it's that kind of annoying troll song. I don't find it enjoyable at all although I am a fan of "different" entries. 0/10)12. Mihai - "Paradisio" (I swear to god this should be the anthem of cliché. It's just so plain and outdated. Idk I just refuse to rate this.)
Romania, in my opinion, you have 2 fairly decent songs out of 12. The other 4 are just under average and the rest is just really really bad. I'm disappointed to say the least But hey, good luck to Ovidiu Anton and Xandra By the way, returning artists tend to do always worse than their first attempt, so don't really expect a 3rd with Paradisio.. Where is Claudia Pavel I stg ;_;

Here are my full of hate reviews Take a seat and drink your coffee cause imma read them #1 Nai Nai - here we have the annoying Romanian tune that everyone is hyping about yaay - 2/10 #2 The Voice - here we have the tragic love ballad sang by 2 lovers - 6/10 #3 Let it shine - here we have your average man-band singing a song about shining - 4/10 #4 Behind the shadows - here we have a kinda cute song with meaning, but I'm missing the climax - 8/10 #5  Brand New Days - here we have our drugged optimistic foreign bitch with a "dont worry be happy"-tune - 3/10 #6 Lasa-ma, eu te las - here we have our independent Romanian girl singing out a typical ballad, no thnx - 6/10 #7 Come on everybody - here we have our Zdob and Zdub realness, but I actually really like it, it reminds me of childhood and "Cronica Carcotasilor" sooo yas mama slayy - 10/10 #8 Never Too Late - here we have our hurt boy spitting his feelings out imma cry tbh - 5/10 #9 Paradisio - no - 1/10 #10 Moment of silence - here we have our ESC-obsessed guy serving some Disney Drama realness, but I actually find it interesting and different sooo we found another slayer - 10/10 #11 I'm Coming Home - here we have our Untold Festival-dramatic-balladish song, but it's pretty boring - still good tho - 8.5/10 #12 Superhuman - here we have our average sexy woman singing a song about the human of her life, bc "Superman" was just too mainstream - 6.5/10 |
