am i doing it right If this thread is located in the wrong board, you are allowed to switch it to where it fitsI had this question in my mind through out the day, and I thought it would be nice to create a thread to see if some people on the forums actually got some kind of phobia(s).
I might as well start with myself.
I have a huge phobia of dogs (Cynophobia), and whenever I approach a dog on the street or anywhere else, my first instinct is to avoid it as quick as possible. Me & my parents went to Germany to meet with some friends, and they actually had a dog in their house. As a result, I spent the rest of that night in their basement, watching stuff on my phone Whenever I actually see a dog without a leash, I immediately want to turn another direct to avoid going to the same line as them. It even happened to me today, as I went to the store to buy stuff for tonight, I approached two guys with two dogs. Leashed or not, I took a longer route just to avoid contact. I am actually scared that my phobia could effect my life in many years, as it doesn't seem that my friends doesn't have this phobia, and if they actually get a dog for company, I could lose sociality with them.
Well, that's all I had to say about my fears. Do you have any?

Wow, I've thought for a long time that I'm the only person in the world who's afraid of dogs. I've Cynophobia as well. It's better than earlier, for example I stay more relaxed with smaller dogs than before, but I'm still very nervous and feared when seeing dogs. This is so heavy that I can't eat in restaurants where dogs are nearby.

I actually have the same problem about eating in restaurants, except that I try to take my focus on the eating more than the dogs around, but at the same time I still worry if the dog (or even cats, as I barely know what pisses a cat of) is close to my leg. As for someone who usually go to Bosnia & Herzegovina on vacations, I do know that there are a lot of homeless dogs who usually walk the streets, as well as restaurants that mostly has their tables outside instead of inside. Add both of those factors together, and I pretty much got my nightmare.

I'm really afraid of spiders but idk if it's already an arachnophobia. It depends on the situation I think, I also find spiders interesting (but disgusting) animals so idk

Spiders - it's "common" but I just can't stand them at all.. There was this big scare in October for me when I read there was a specific breed that have developed in Ireland and I was freaking out when I heard stories of what they did.. and I'm not ashamed to say but this is why I check my bed before I sleep and if possible.. wear socks to bed. Though I'm not the only one in my family. That's my main phobia, I don't think I have a lot more but maybe to some extent heights - THOUGH hey, it's not as bad as my main one.

Well, I'm really afraid of ghosts Now I am curious. What makes you afraid of ghosts? I'm afraid of them, when we will talk about it (even if we talk about it at day)

Oh yes I also hate darkness. And when I'm alone, outside at the evening (when it's dark) I always fear that someone will attack me >_>
