Just praying that I will qualify from WC but there is so much competition that I don't really have much of a chance... Good luck to everyone who qualified to the final though!

First of all congratulations to all the song qualifying.A few notes:1. There are NO overused songs in MSC As most of you should know MSC accepts all songs regardless of the number of times it has participated in other contests.
This is a music contest, not an originality contest and not a popularity contest.
We all vote for our favourite songs and if the song is 'Ghost' or 'Alive' then so be it.
Good songs should be praised2. The Rules. The rules in MSC are designed to give as mush support to find a song while giving you freedom to represent different countries.
For 29 editions we never normally have a problem but for the few that do not like the rules they have joined for a edition and then left. I would people to do the same if they are not happy with how MSC is run.
The rules are there for everybody to follow and all treated the same. 3. Use better words.I know that we all have opinions and sometimes we are happy and sometimes we are not. However, please repect the other players and use your words more kindly to express opinion without upsetting others.
MSC is a great community and you all bring a part to make this contest awesome
<Hope this is alright and BEST OF LUCK TO ALL.>

Good post, Llem! The immense flexibility of your rules really draws in a huge amount of people because of the contest's ease of access to participate. This results in a successful contest that the organizers have now. Naturally, you get haters, so just keep doing what you do. Why MSC's rules are successful: - All countries are first come, first serve every time, so every player (except for the pre-qualified of course) has a chance at playing as any country with less restrictions compared to some other contests. - Sending a song regardless of popularity is a testament to the contest focusing more on the music, not on the artist's fame. I may have heard "Wings" so many times in other contests, but it's still a great quality song. - Being inclusive with the countries competing. Every country/territory has a chance to compete, making this contest feel more globalized. - Stretching an artist's connection to a certain country gives some countries (especially ones that are almost always unlikely to win) a better chance at doing well. This results in MSC going to exotic locations. Countries like Mali and Uganda have won while some others have placed high. MSC has managed to have contests in all continents (except Antarctica, duh). It helps even out the playing field, creating a more competitive atmosphere with unpredictable results. - Finally, it's fun! No need to take this seriously (although the amount of words in this post say otherwise ).

This contest is where everyone gets a chance of feeling happy in getting a good place. If you don't qualify, the first time, there is always next edition. I know people like to express their opinion. But you need to think sometimes if you are hurting people's feelings.

Don't understand it as a too bitchy comment pleade:Sorry for breaking your bubbly something, but that's the same everywhere else (or at least supposed to).
Also I partly don't get that announcement post. I mean that realism thing (at least my example) is a fact and same counts for when a song is overused.
