Alright,so it's time for my opinion! First of all, I want to thank everyone for voting for Cyprus! The 5th place is surely great, especially knowing that I did as well as the United Kingdom that sent Adele, a huge artist, with plenty of international hits! It was so funny reading your predictions where some of you said I would win ; a pity that was just a prediction and not reality though As for the winner, I want to congratulate Australia for achieving their 3rd victory in the contest! The song is very good and the actual reason I didn't vote for it was because it was very hard for me to make a voting list in such a tough edition. Besides, I am glad for India, as I think the song is awesome and it's their best result! Ireland, as the most successful European country this edition also did extremely well and I enjoyed seeing them in the TOP 3! Interestingly, the TOP 3 consisted of a country from Oceania, a country from Asia and only 1 from Europe! A huge thanks also to Taiwan for one of the very best and toughest editions ever and I would also like to congratulate them for a decent result. Winning twice in a row and then just missing out of the TOP 3 for some points is surely a major accomplishment and most probably the best results strike a country have had in 3 consecutive editions! I won't comment any further, although I actually have a lot to say, I just want to send my love (like Adele would say lol) to Ireland, Poland, FYR Macedonia and Canada for awarding us their maximum points! Thanks everyone for a great edition and see you in Australia!

Non-participant comment: Wow! So many songs in the final deserved to win! Glad to see Australia win though, but I would be just as glad for any other country to win, too. Great song! Also happy to see ( ) ( ) ... too many to mention! So many good songs! I love this edition. As for the Philippines... 14th again!?! That seems to be their favorite spot in the GF. You were so close to the left side! Still proud of you Jericho (Super inactive)! I hope you win it someday.

What exactly do you want me to stop talking about? The record braking or about not letting you select my entries anymore? Because if it's about the last one, then here's how the last 8 editions look, where I selected 4 songs and 4 were selected by NF's - 3/4 songs that I selected got in the final, while only 1/4 from NF's. One thing I thought about was to send one of Latvia's overused songs that has won at least once in some contests, because everyone else apparently do very well with such songs, but then I decided not to, because what's the point - it doesn't give you any joy to win or get your best result with a song that everyone has already used somewhere and everyone's tired (or are you?) of it... I guess that instead of arguing or complaining, you should just look for something that has just been released and that you think is great or maybe for something alternative. I personally liked your entry this edition, I gave it points but that was not enough... I have one (actually 2, but I still haven't decided which one to choose, because they are quite different from the other one) recently released song, but I don't know how it will do... recently released song doesn't give you a straight qualifier (and maybe in best case even winner in final) status, and it also doesn't mean that it will do well, if I'll like it... some new songs do better only when they are used 2nd or 3rd time between all contests, because then people finally get used to them... I'm not trying to argue, I just say my opinion...

Well, what you've just stated about submitting an entry that has already been in like 2 or 3 contests is certainly true but as for the recently released songs, I guess that something 'fresh and good' is always a great solution!

And stop talking like that. You just had a top 10 last time. What exactly do you want me to stop talking about? I understood it that way that you complain about your results on a high level, seeing that you get regularly great results, while other countries, even with bigger music industries than the Latvian one, get worse results and dont complain.

You just intrigued me - name me a country with bigger music industry, that does worse than Latvia! Just for fun I'd like to know No offence to anyone ofc. And you misunderstood me - I don't complain about my results on high level, because it's obvious with such small country (not only measure, but music industry as well and it's popularity abroad), that you don't qualify for final every edition. And I won't call 14/31 qualifications (from which 3 are thank's to 2nd chance) a "regular great results" - maybe you do. That's up to you. P.S. I'm not exactly complaining - I'm just wondering, why is that so that other countries NF winners mostly do very well or at least qualify for final, while mine - not exactly...

General information: The thread for #48 will be created tomorrow noon how paradoxical to read that after a song with the lyrics "We don't have to wait all night" won.

Sorry for the late reaction. The winner is not really my cup of tea, but still congratulations. Very happy for my favorite Ireland finishing in third (remember, the Dutch votes are not only me). I think Malta and Venezuela are a bit underrated, but I can understand that these songs are not liked by everybody. PS: In my NS for next edition, there's currently a draw, so I would appreciate if you'd vote there (I only have 4 votes sofar)
