Kaitlyn Jenner for example, a famous transgender in the US. She said it was easier to come out trans than to come out conservative. The media covered the gender switch for days, but when she endorsed Ted Cruz, liberals didn't know how to feel. When people change genders, they get attention. That you cannot deny. So some people who are lonely, take advantage of the LGBT community, to get more attention. Not all, some. Btw I know that you can send whatever you want. I know a few LGBT so I think I know enough to be able to have this conversation. So by me not supporting some LGBT, I guess I'm a bigot. For example, you say you like fruit, but not all fruit (that was corny), I won't assume you hate all fruit.
I know Jan already responded but I wanted to give my two cents -
1. As someone who spends a lot of time watching political YouTube channels, I've found quite a few conservatives tend to have this weird persecution complex where they think all the 'leftists' are trying to silence them. Heck - one of Trump's slogans is 'The Silent Majority (Not generalizing all conservatives btw). It doesn't surprise me that Kaitlyn said that.
2. Tbh, I didn't even care when Kaitlyn Jenner became trans. I just saw it and shrugged 'that happened'. A few days later - 'Oh, she's against gay rights. Okay...that happened...'. Apparently the American left leaning media made a huge deal of it, but for me it was news for a day.
3. "When people change genders, they get attention" - that's not really their fault. It's just something that tends to happen. With the amount of money and therapy someone has to go through, is it really worth it just for some cheap publicity?
4. "So by me not supporting some LGBT, I guess I'm a bigot" - Not necessarily (this is where I will have to disagree with Jan ) , and yes, this is an issue within a lot of feminist/SJW circles, (e.g. a lot of them were calling people misogynist when they didn't want to see the new Ghostbusters) but are you saying that everyone else was only supporting just because they sent a drag queen, and not because of the song, or the vocals? That's pretty condescending if you ask me (not saying it can't possibly be true, but you shouldn't assume what people are thinking).
