ARTIST #9
Another British-Indian singer, Hard Kaur is now known as one of the first Indian rap artists in the world. Still deciding which song she will bring to the contest, after pitching a few to us which we obviously liked, she will be the first artist ever to compete in the UK NVSC National Selection with a song in English and Hindi!

ARTIST #12"It's been great news to be invited to compete in the UK national selection. As a girl from Northern Ireland, I have the luck to represent both Ireland and the UK so I am so happy that I've not been forgot about over here, even though I have represented Ireland in the past. So I thank the BBC and in particular BBC Northern Ireland for pushing their campaign to getting my song into the UK National Selection. Thank you once again. "

AND FINALLY...
GOLDEN TICKET ARTIST #2 If you don't want to know who the artist is before the video, then don't read the spoiler until AFTER the video.
Making a comeback last year to the British music industry, is wonderfully gifted talent, that is - Emeli SandΓ©. Emeli returned to the industry with her new album "long live the angels", which reached number 2 in the official UK top 40 album chart.
Emeli was approached by NVSC UK in October 2016 and considered the approach for one week. She signed a contract at the end of October and we officially announced to all of the BBC that Emeli and NVSC UK were working in co-operation at the beginning of November 2016. In December, Emeli made the decision herself to choose "Breathing Underwater" as the song she will compete with.
As she has been given the golden ticket and will go directly to the super final, along with the first golden ticket artist, Emma Blackery.
