Tbh I think people here give too fast. Nothing outstanding yet in the contest. I would say this is a . I find this outstanding, that's why I gave just because you don't find it amazing doesn't mean that others can't give it a This was not only about this song. That was a general thing. ^^

Now that I've calmed down (over a week later), I should say something about this masterpiece. The fact that this won UMK (well, we know Emma would have won given that her performance wasn't a pile of bullshit as it was on the night) is outstanding enough. This entry is so "not Eurovision," which makes it better as an entry itself. The song itself is also spectacular and just... breathtaking. The music's backdrop (I'm not even going to say harmony or accompaniment, because it's more than that clearly) creates such a beautifully haunting atmosphere that just drags me in every time. Oh yeah, not forgetting that beautiful piano interlude. Still giving this and that will never change!

I'm sorry but that was awful. It's trying to be one of those pretty and poetic ballads, but the song doesn't have much of a flow, the high notes aren't very pleasant, and the lyrics are very repetitive. I felt like I'd been listening to it for 10 minutes by the time it was over

It's a nice, soothing, relaxing and beautiful song. I'm actually glad because there were many worse songs in the selection ; so I support this choice

Okay, so! One of the things I do (which is hard, but I do it) is wait until mostly all the entries are out before I give them my first listen. I spent part of my weekend going through all the songs (minus / cuz I couldn't find them at the moment that i'm typing this). I also don't watch the video; I just "listen" - because this usually shows what will stick in people's mind as they're watching the show in May. This gets a from me, because there were only two songs that impacted me immediately or made me want to hear them again, and this was one of them. It's just beautiful. It's a simple song that makes you think, and in the space of the other songs it will stand out, especially if the staging is just as stark as the lyrical content. Beyond that, it stands out in a semifinal comprised mostly of electro-infused pop ballads. The composition creates this aura of space, and I saw someone in a Youtube comment compare it to "Nocturne" from 1995, which did a similar thing, and so... Yeaaaaah I'm so happy! I wish I could vote for this I hope for Top 10, given Finland's track record that may be a challenge. But let me say this: I feel the same about this as I did with Ukraine's song last year, and I remember having felt alone sometimes in that thought. So we'll see
