You can try to use Recuva (it's free) if you need to recover deleted files. This software already saved my life a couple of times. Remember that when you delete a file or when a problem occurs and files disappear, your data are still on your hard drive. The only thing that disappears is the memory adress of your file (or its parts if the file has been split) in your file allocation table. The data remain available until another file is created at the same place of your hard drive. If you are unlucky, the part of the hard drive where your files were have already been rewritten but if it's not the case, a tool like Recuva can find them. Thank you for the suggestion! But I had all the files on an external hard drive and it stopped working. So I guess it wont work as it's not the computers hard drive...

Explain me in PM what happened exactly with your hard drive when the problem occurred, maybe there is a way to get your data back.
