Slovenia: Omar Naber - "On My Way"

Just.. ugh.
I hate to say this, but this is just way too underwhelming...
After hearing the first semi songs, I was really excited for EMA overall, and I was really hoping for either Fse, Ni Panike or Zazarim in the end,
but honestly? "On My Way" as your winner?
It was between my bottom 2 in the end, but I still would have prefered BQL over Omar's song, as BQL actually felt like something.
Omar's song is just a generic ballad. Let's say we compare this to songs as "Blackbird", "Flashlight" and "Never Give Up on You".
Both "Blackbird" and "Flashlight" have dark energy within them, and Lucie's voice in "Never Give Up on You" makes the song shine just by that.
Omar has neither of those. His voice is just fine, and the song is just... Okay. That's all it is. Nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing special.
His 2005 entry, "Stop", was was just amazingly made, starting as a simple ballad, and then turning into a high voiced operatic rock song.
I don't know how he sank this low. I am definitely not gonna blame the slovenian televoting on this. I just don't get how the jury managed to prefer "On My Way" over way better entries.
Whelp, atleast my friend is gonna be happy to see one of her favourite singers back to the contest, but I am fairly sure she won't be happy for long.

It's just really boring, while he could have made a great entry, like his latest ESC try.
I am really sad, 'cause while Slovenia had one of the greatest NS this year, they destroyed it at the last second.
Sorry, but the semi final will not let you qualify, as it is kinda the strongest one.
