I was so shocked that he has two different voices for one song. It's essentially a duet with themselves. That already gets points from me. I'm actually curious to see a live performance of this. The other parts are nice. It's not a weak ballad unlike Malta and Slovenia because of its overall sounds and voices. This ballad already stands out to me, especially in the end. What deters me from scoring this any higher is the atrocious beginning. Once the operatic Italian started, I got hooked. I don't think it'll qualify, but I like it.

- I kinda figured we were in trouble when we learned the song title was "My Friend". If you only listen to the song, on it's own, it is cringe-worthy. Merit to singing in two languages and making something different, but.... yeah Also as a native English speaker let me just say "My Friend" is a lyric that should never be sung in an opera voice This was one of the only few songs this year that had me laughing at parts
