I am having fun double party for me Norway qualified the Country i live in and Netherlands the country i was raised in. Was watching with a lot of Norwegian friends and the where on the verge of getting angry when by number 7 Both & wheren't announced the room was Red.White.Blue was a lot of fun

I wasn't online up until now, so here are my thoughts on all the songs of the semis -

(Btw, when I say 'switching', I mean in my personal live prediction, not the forum prediction)

Qualifiers -
- Obvious qualifier. The live wasn't brilliant tho
- Didn't predict this through. Had considered switching it, but I would have switched it with Cyprus or Poland so it wouldn't have made a difference
- Poor Belgians. Must be having so many heart attacks from being last called three years in a row. I wasn't really feeling it in the live
- It's Azerbaijan. What else to say?
- Omfg it actually got through. I legit thought everyone was crazy and this was a false alarm like 2015 and 2014 but no...this reminds me of when Turkmenistan qualified in NNMC. The song wasn't that good but I'm kind of happy they're doing well after all these years

- I thought I might have overestimated the power of memes but no!! They got through!!!! EPIC SAX GUY IS IN THE FINAL!!!!
- Live could have been better but predicted this through.
- I had them at 10th in my forum prediction but I think I was too hard. It was a safe qualifier.

NQ's
- They had a pretty slim chance of qualifying. They might have just slipped into the jury vote but that's about it.
- Didn't expect them to qualify but I think I was wrong about them being last. Guess we'll have to wait and see
- This song is amazing on so many levels but never had much of a chance
- This is the biggest surprise of this semi. I wasn't a fan of this song but it was a very pretty performance.
- My fav of this semi. I thought everyone was going to be wrong and she'd get through but apparently not...hopefully she was close
- It was never going to qualify but I still have a soft spot for it

- I can't tell if she's singing in tune or not. The style is ear grating

I got the first six qualifiers right and the rest of them wrong

- I knew he had a small chance of qualifying but I didn't think it would actually happen. Especially not over Serbia or Switzerland. Still, it's a cute song.
- I didn't think they'd actually get through. I thought the juries would demolish them. But no.
- Had really considered switching them with Macedonia but I didn't think it would get enough televotes. Still happy they got through
- Predicted it through but why the f**k do people like this?
- Predicted it through but there were other female songs that I thought would finish higher but didn't
- Predicted it through. This song just fascinates me tbh
- How did this qualify? It's not bad or anything, just seemed to have little potential.
- I let out this weird neighing sound when they got through. YES!!! IT GOT THROUGH!!! I adore this song and gave it three votes. It's everything opposite of Belarus' entries. It's got strong singers, it's not in English, it's not generic pop...

- Didn't have much doubt this wouldn't get through

NQ -
- I thought they'd get through but the live wasn't that good.
- My instinct said this wouldn't pass but it was a fan favourite and the live wasn't too bad so I still predicted it through. I should have gone with Netherlands.
- My f**king God, Ireland, quit it with this shat out crap. Even Marty Whelan didn't seem to surprised you didn't make it
- Wasn't going to qualify but I'm sure it had its fans
- What the actual...how did this not qualify!!?!? Everything about it was spot on. I gave this two votes
- Was never going to qualify but I admit it was intriguing
- Predicted it through but it was never a safe qualifier. Laura's vocals did improve since the NS.

I don't know if I'm alone on this, but Koit Toome eyefucked the camera VERY hard during the performance

I guess I'm the only one who's not the biggest fan of Verka's "interval act". I mean it's funny to see once, but I doubt that I'll ever want to see it again.


About the songs:

out! I'm not too sad about. I told my dad (also at Norway) that I see it somewhere between 8th and 12th or so.
Imo Miruna sang pretty good and the performance was good too and probably in top 3 of the most colourful ones. Why was there that pink tho?


I used to like it, but over the last few days it decreased a lot. Also her dress showed a bit too much I think.

How on earth? I didn't see that coming at all. The literally only things I liked in his performance were how happy he was and how he did it with some innocence (is that also used on English in that matter?)

The revelation of her pregnancy was my secret highlight of the show.
I'm very shocked she's out now - I mean I predicted her in top 10. Her backing vocalists did bad there imho.

That was an obvious eliminated one. She had a flawless performance, but still no chance there.

This is also a song I was struggling with recently. Their performance was nothing special (why were there those cannons btw?). On the other hand it's Romania with its 100% qualification rate.

I expected them to pass. They did awesome in terms of harmony. Something I had a difficulty with was the different dress of one of them.

I never really liked that entry until his performance. I don't even know how to describe it with words. The song however is still nothing I'd listen to myself more than once a week.

Probably the girl with the most beautiful dress this year.
I never understood the hype about this (still the best entry since Emmelie won ) - and even less tonight. I mean it's not her fault when the backing vocalists are bad, but she was literally screaming for 3 minutes. :/ It's still an obvious one.

I officially love this since the weekend.
It was a quite obvious outcome so he should have save it in the second half. Unfortunately it wasn't powerful or long enough. :/

All I can say here is that I'mvery glad they flopped (sorry San Marino).

Another how on earth one. I mean I'm probably the person who likes it thw most among us, but the performance wasn't very good honestly (the background tho ).

My earworm of the last days. I'm so happy they advanced.

As much as I like it, I didn't exactly like the performance. I now really hope Belarus will do Belarusian more.

I felt happy that the probably #1 obvious one got announced first.
Imo he was a bit too dramatic (what was the meaning of the background there?), but did not sound 17 at all.

Sorry there, but I'm so happy this flopped. There's so much not fitting together. And why did she wear red in front of a red background and on a red floor...?

The song isn't that bad imho , but there was 0 chemisrtry between them during like 90% of the songs.

He was awesome. Not much more to add.

I called her background a bit too Cliche, but we'll see.

SERBIA
The Fan Favourite Flop of the year (more to come in the Final but we have one caught in the net ) ... and it's a good thing it didn't!! Worst outfit of the night, looked like she wore bubble wrap and that dancer was very pointless. I expected it to pass though.

AUSTRIA
I want that moon in my living room!! Overall a nice performance and worthy of qualifying.

MACEDONIA
Awwwwww ... SHAME it didn't pass I was sure they would pass this time!! ... she sang well, the routine was fun and she looked so good in that outfit (whilst preggers too!!) ... maybe that proposal threw people off guard but I bet she doesn't care about qualifying now .

MALTA
Knew it'll be the forgettable entry of the night ... nicest dress out of all the bridal dresses though.

ROMANIA
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!! THE VERY BEST PASSED TONIGHT!!!!!!! I'm ever so thrilled!! ^^ Quality and Uniqueness passed!!!

NETHERLANDS
Pretty outfits, nice staging and they sang well but the song just isn't my cup of tea.

HUNGARY
Very nicely done!! You can see he was shaking like a leaf but he pulled it off!! A well deserved qualification!! Didn't like his outfit personally but hey ho.

DENMARK
Not a fan. Just a cliche really. Other entries are more worthy of qualifying but I'm not surprised either.

IRELAND
He literally sounds like a girl!!

SAN MARINO
Family favourite!! It deffo should've passed I thoroughly enjoyed it!! ... would've if it represented Russia. She was all over him like a dog in heat though .

CROATIA
I do not get this!! Just too random!! Gets people talking I'll give him that. HATE it!!

NORWAY
Family like this too!! I didn't think it would pass but I'm glad I was wrong and they truly deserved to pass!! One of the best performances tonight!! Nice job!! One of the best outfits too!!

SWITZERLAND
She looked like big bird from Sesame Street ... at least it wasn't white. Never been a fan of this one but my mum liked it.

BELARUS
Honestly, I was soooooo sure this wouldn't qualify. In fact, I thought it would come last place in the semi final ... AND BOY AM I HAPPY I WAS WRONG!!!! YAAAAY to these guys!! Such a happy performance and they had a boat!!! LOVE IT!! Congrats to Belarus they deserved it!! ... my family think I'm nuts for liking it though .

BULGARIA
I do not get what people see in this entry ... such a Justin Bieber attempt. He looks like he's supposed to sound like Ireland's entry. Knew it would pass. Impressive stage effects though.

LITHUANIA
Meh ... mum and I laughed when our commentator said 'anyone need a biro' .

ESTONIA
AWWWWWW!! I admit the performance was rather weak and Koit Toome was staring WAY too much but the song is AWESOME!! ... never mind.

ISRAEL
GLAD this passed though!! Such a good job!! My mum's favourite . No surprises there.
