Don't you ever dare to compare Croatia 2017 with Estonia 2018! NEVER! But I just did.

There's something about opera music that is so beautiful, and La Forza is no exception. Granted, it's not instant and so after listening to it three or four times, I appreciate Elina's talent and her vocals but I'm not in love with the song itself. It has immense potential and will probably grow on me but time will tell.

I stanned her before the song was even announced, what else is there to say about my opinion to this song. The song is perfectly built up, where you get the preparation in the first chorus, and then the loud bang in the 2nd, and the rest is history. Elinas voice is absolutely marvelous. With no major mistakes done during the live performances, she really shows that she can easily deliver perfect live vocals, and if her vocals weren't impressive enough for you: she managed to deliver the last three notes in the song without flinching a weird face onto the camera. That is t a l e n t. Her performance might be a Sabina Babayeva/Aliona Moon 2.0, but at least it was fitting for the actual song, and I can see this stand out during the semis as well. In all honesty, I can't see much wrong in this song, and as a fellow Opera staner, I will stan the living hell out of this song during May. Now time to pray for another top 10 finish for Estonia

I've listened to her interpretation several times, tracking the defaults. I found very few of them, and I am impressed by her technical level at her still quite young age: 1) Her vowels are a bit too closed when she sings in the lower part of her register. But maintaining open vowels in Italian with low vocals is extremely difficult. 2) When she moves up or down with several stages, she could try to make a bigger gap between the higher and the lower notes. 3) She perfectly controls her vibrato until the very end where she releases it a little and it becomes a bit too large in my opinion. But again, we hear that she can't go higher without using her whistle voice. She keeps her poker face but she is clearly struggling with the limits of her vocal range.
I am also quite impressed by the extreme care about the Italian pronunciation, in front of an audience where probably 99% of people didn't get a clue of what she was singing. She probably doesn't speak Italian herself but she was watchful about small details (completely unnoticeable by non-Italian speakers) like double consonants (that are often hard to pronounce correctly by non-Italian native speakers - most of them don't even care and pronounce them just like single consonants).
In conclusion, her interpretation of her song was almost perfect. Comparing her vocal skills with pop singers would be difficult but we can certainly say that she is one of the strongest singers in the history of Eurovision, and probably the best this year. Will it be enough to win with an operatic pop song? We will see. But that wouldn't certainly be undeserved.

I certainly wouldn't be annoyed if this is the one to take the crown this year. Her vocal ability and range is immense and the force she gives is stunning. Especially that extra push at the very end. Although I've given - I still think that is an insult and too low of a score for 'la forza'. It is definitely the performance that I will be looking out for and writing down the number ready to vote for in SF1. In the first half with her, I personally think her biggest threats are from Netta, Equinox and Sennek
