Oh this is the only forum I didn't visit during post-Eurovision 2018 final period. Well then. I'll then give a perspective of my own from this point of view which is basically 'Eurovision is over so long ago and we all have physically, but not internally, gotten over it': I liked the performance, didn't like how in the semi the sound mixing was terrible during the last chorus (I think in the final it was better?), but it was just misunderstood enough to be upvoted massively. Good rock song has something to stick out for, and this did, of course, but in a kinda bad way because of all this memery about 'AAAAAN-GEEEEEER!!1', the shoelessness of lead singer Örs, the inability to understand what's going on in general because it's scaring people... but hey, some people do end up remembering the big great MOOD Örs has created - from drinking champagne to not reacting up to the Hungarian qualification! And of course, Ginyu Force pose that had an article dedicated for it by some... mainly Dragon Ball/cartoon centered blog? And 9Gag too. Overall I think you guys should be proud of your boys hugely despite of 21st place in the final (remember, it's not the worst in the final that you've ever done since the introduction of A Dal as your NF! Compact Disco says 'hi!') and barely sneaking through to the final (just like the boys themselves to the A Dal superfinal). They represented you well and made a metal show, just like they wanted. And got way more fans than usual, which was their other goal!  However, is this result discouraging? Yes, but just a bit. Does this mean you should stop being diverse in Eurovision? Hell no! You might want to send something safer only to appeal to juries but there are other ways of doing it WHILE not going through the bland pop genre yet again. Pair a magnificent song up with great vocal skills (basically that's how the jury pulled through  to the final this year - it's THE VOICE... and maybe the song was enjoyable too I hope so) and you might as well get a great result you deserve since András, finally again. also also Örs is now a fiancé ;DLol, you're supporting  my country more than a few Hungarian people actually Haha yeah I just REALLY wanted to see your guys do well! But it seems that not all hopes can fulfill in these days of current Eurovision...  But qualification sometimes is all that matters and good to see you having it |
