 It's Lights for Canada with Giants!
Last edition, Canada placed its worst final position
since #45, which led CBC to the decision to send the
more popular Giants by Lights; almost used for #55.

Welcome to India
Hello everyone and welcome to New Dehli (even though i've never been there personally) for this edition of WWWSC
in India. I am honestly still shocked that I actually won, but as I am auto-qualified, I wanted to
send something special!
I wanted to try and send and Anglo-Indian singer, unfortuantely I only found one modern one from India and her songs weren't
that good so I have decided to send another song which is in my view very special...
"Tu Bhoola Jise" by K.K - (English Translation - "The One You Forgot")

The song is from the movie Airlift, which is based on the 1990 airlift evacution of Indians in Kuwait during the Invaision
of Kuwait, which lead to the First Gulf War. With over 111,000 Indians being airlifted from Amman, Jordan to Mumbai. Unfortunately
I cannot understand most of the song, and although it is not the most popular from the film, I find it very beautiful and uplifiting and
reminds me of an incredible rescue mission that took place, which is why I wanted to send it and share it with you all! |
