Belgium 2:49+ To let you know this song has already taken part in this contest I take all the fault of it, the player sent me the song for approval and I didn't notice it, I'm very sorry about it.

fabbi I'll make a poll about it, to see what most players find fair This will be done soon enough in order to avoid biased voting.

fabbi I'll make a poll about it, to see what most players find fair This will be done soon enough in order to avoid biased voting. I think that the fairest would be: - the players who get the AQ spots would be qualified with their original country; - the winner would keep the country one more edition and the original host would take a free country for one edition or represent a region of his original country. For example, if wins, fabbi would be the French HoD next time and Gregory (inactive) would be allowed to send Jain for Occitanie.

That's a very clever idea, however I think that would overcome the main system of the contest. The theme is ''random countries for one edition'', meaning that after this edition everything will go back to normal, or at least as much as possible. I really need to hear what most players consider the fairest. What I plan to do is to first ask for the opinion and ideas of the players, instead of just voting, then if the decision is not clear yet, I will open the poll with the options that seemed the most favorable.

Honestly, if we're really going to honor the "random countries for one edition" theme, then it should stay that way. If Guatemala manages to place in the Top 5, I think it should be given back to Guatemala's original player so that they can enjoy the privilege of being AQ. Same goes for every other country.
I prefer to keep the AQ countries consistent. If the player this edition who had Guatemala placed in the top 5, then the country should get the AQ spot, not player, but that's just my way.
italix's proposal looks complicated with the "representing a region of the country" part.
Returning to normal should be a straightforward process in my opinion.

I would say if a person AQ with their random country, then the original country should be AQ e.g. If top 5 then my original country would be AQ for #31

However, we would have to add a rule for the votes: we wouldn't be allowed to vote for the country we have in this edition but also for the country we will take back next edition. Elsewhere everybody would give to his "normal" country in order to have a better chance to be auto-qualified. So we need to choose our option before the contest begins.
