The German selection committee has chosen its two entries. Both of them are in German language.
The first contestant is Elif Demirezer, born in Berlin in 1992. [By the way, I have a question for the next editions: will Germany be limited to singers coming from the former German Federal Republic - before the reunification - or will singers from the former German Democratic Republic also be allowed? In Elif's case, her parents arrived from Turkey in 1987 so we can assume she is from West-Berlin (part of GFR) but for a singer from Dresden for example, it would be debatable, and even more if the artist is born before the reunification]Timeslot: 0:53Our second artist is Lina Larissa Strahl, born in 1997 in Seelze (near Hanover).Timeslot: 1:39

italix That somehow never crossed my mind before. Yes, only West German artists can compete for Germany (before 1991 ofc)

The Netherlands will be sending the following singers to ... wherever this first contest is held! ( ?) Lied 1: "Adem" by Daniel Kist(from 2:50+) Lied 2: "Een Minuutje" by Cherry WijdenboschI gave up looking for fun+current Dutch-language pop, and I wanted to be hilarious, so have this doozy instead (from 1:26+)

Confirmations are now closedAll 7 delegations have sent their entries. Amazingly, everybody chose to sing in their native language. I think everyone is too afraid of being held responsible
The recap should be up tonight or tomorrow. Reminder that each player has 4 votes, they can vote for their own entries, and the results will remain confidential.
Stay tuned
