Remarks on some songs: Although they're working in France, Mika and Maitre Gims are not French (Maitre Gims even failed two times obtaining French nationality, which is becoming quite embarrassing...). The song La jument de Michao is derived from a medieval song Le loup, le renard, le lièvre and there are many versions of it. The medieval form has given a Danish version (sang for the first time in 1999) En ulv, en ræv, en hare and has also been adapted by Tri Yann in 1976 for the first version of La jument de Michao (the same version that Nolwenn Leroy has covered). There is also another version of the latest song by Manau where the lyrics form the chorus and new lyrics were added in Mais qui est la belette ? |
