 Underwhelming live performance but expected  God the woman looked so lifeless, but I loved the staging. Was scared this wasn't going to qualify  My 3rd to last but after watching the performance their qualification was undisputed. Congrats to the Czech Republic for turning things around and getting 2 qualifications in a row   I'll give credit where it's due, the staging was good and they did a great job making the song sound like it was 2019, and it made me think they had a small chance of qualifying BUT I didn't think it would actually happen. A huge shock    COME THRU MY #1 SO HAPPY FOR NEVENA and honestly one of the only decent performances of the semi, congratulations   Damn I was not expecting that. The last minute was messy but that staging was absolutely fantastic, deserved (it's funny to think I hated this at first)  Made me felt like I was trapped in a stranger's basement at a BDSM party... this was scary and I did not like it  YAS I think everyone had their doubts about this but after the performance I knew this was qualifying   A fantastic vocal performance, staging was messy but nevertheless a solid effort      I have NEVER liked this song, the performance was absolutely terrible, it was like an old drunk man at a karaoke night mustered up the courage to sing, the song is NOT suited to his voice and although I'm happy that San Marino as a country qualified, this song is absolutely terrible and the song did not deserve to qualify      That chorus....  That staging was so good, just like Belarus they had a small chance... but this was never qualifying   that performance was underwhelming but this DESERVED to qualify, especially when you see that the shit that is Belarus and San Marino qualified  I don't know what it was but after the performance something did not click and I was not surprised this didn't qualify. Shocked, but not surprised. |

BIG PROBLEM FOR THURSDAY there are only three more spots in the second half which means alot of favourites could be in the first half of the show (which might be opened by serhat...) calling it now

Alright so here's what I thought about the performances & results tonight... Expected we would qualify and really glad we did. Tamta sounded very nice and she was really on point. A decent performance; had to go through and absolutely deserved qualification! I liked the song but I thought it wouldn't stand a chance... Their performance was cute though, maybe they should try as solo acts in the future as they're still very young and apparently talented.  Another one of my biggest faves that I'll have to say goodbye to... I mean it was expected but they had a nice staging and for a moment I thought they could stand a chance but such songs usually don't do really well in the contest  This is the one I really thought would qualify and I'm surprised it didn't. They were awesome vocally, I could barely spot a difference from the studio version. Sad for them, they would have been a nice finalist... Glad it qualified as I thought at the end they wouldn't, having kept them as last qualifiers. Really beautiful and mesmerizing presentation, yet they kept it simple and efficient! This is so cheerful it had to go through and it was rather expected it would! Well done for qualifying for the 2nd year in a row! Seeing how the country had been qualifying since 2011, I thought they would easily sneak through and I'm surprised they didn't. However I cannot complain as the song was in my bottom 3 of the year so I wouldn't like to see it getting the spot of someone else I'd have possibly liked more... I am so happy to see this going through! It was in my TOP 10 of this year and I found the staging quite hilarious; felt like a hot mess  However it was so much fun and a nice qualifier overall! Expected and not complaining as this was very nice and emotional! He felt so lost on that stage wearing that over-sized jacket... I don't know what else they could have done with the staging but what they did was quite poor to be honest... I thought this could be a shocking qualifier as the performance was really powerful and intense and it really got me filled up with emotions. Would have loved to see it qualifying but we can't have it all I guess... I can see why this is hyped but seriously it resembled more to a circus act than to a performance for the contest In general it was expected she'd qualify but the staging was quite hilarious for me. This turned out to seem so creepy to be honest but I mean it was nice and had to qualify so well done for making it again after quite some time! I'd have easily seen this out but I knew it could go either way. It was an alright entry and I'm surprised it qualified having performed right after 2 crazy acts. However, maybe that's also the reason why it qualified lol My least favorite song of the year and I know many of you really loved it but I somehow thought it wouldn't go through just because it's probably too different. Being fully objective, I didn't find the performance that great to be honest; it felt quite empty to me. Those vocals were so slick! Well done to her, she deserved it and she got it! Really happy this made it! I thought it wouldn't be through but apparently they got enough support to qualify and I cannot complain; will gladly enjoy Serhat's performance in the final! |

We got 2nd half - I'm not complaining!   - Far from the best live performance but we all knew from the start this was gonna qualify regardless  - I mean at least they tried, but we all knew this was dead on arrival - Probably last place in the semi  - What an anti climax after sending such a big superstar like Darude, but the song was just too bland  - Now this was a robbery, was a beautiful folk song with such unique elements but I guess it wasn't enough  - I reckon this could be the dark horse of 2019, its so intimate and mysterious at the same time - Possible Top 5 alert  - Borderline qualifier and I'm so happy it got through, Albert is such an amazing vocalist and it was so cheerful!  - Sweet but flat ballad with touching lyrics that just got lost in translation - Origo 2.0 this was not.  - Really not a fan, it's a little cheap and plastic for my tastes and I'm surprised it qualified but good luck anyway  - We needed a Balkan ballad strongly this year - Nevena delivered. Beautiful staging completes the package  - Such a promising song, such a promising singer but it all fell too flat with dull staging and poor vocals  - This was so intense and felt so powerful, yet at the same time something was just.... missing...  - Now that is how you stage a song, the only describable word is "Eurovision". - Possible shock winner alert here?  - JÁ! After 5 long years we finally qualified!  Performance was perfect tonight, ready for the final  - Did anyone actually expect this? Surely must have benefited from being "normal" in the midst of all the more eccentric acts  - Biggest shock of the night yet also I'm not overly surprised - The package was just one step too weird  - This has really grown on me - Katerine can sing well and the staging fits amazingly, should finish Top 10  - YES, SERHAT DID IT!!! Such a fun song to finish the night - I wouldn't be surprised to see this go first on Saturday |

not a huge fan but vocally they were perfect so it's fully deserved
WIG AF i didn't expect zena to qualify, always thought the song would tank in jury voting and i was wrong she actually snapped 
i usually never vote in the semis, but this time i had to.. it was just too good
the power that that has........ 
well there's room for everybody let's just say that
catchy song but awful vocals omg.. tho i'm happy for serhat and especially san marino

i don't even know what to say anymore oof here I go well done to them. The performance was amazing. I'm not surprised honestly this is very underrated lmao. The backing voalists are so annyoing but I loved the performance cause she looked like she was having so much fun up there. I can't speak. I'm so proud of her expected but will get the same result as La La Love I won't lie. It was better than I thought. Another underrated song Their performance was cool too. But does Albert always speak in a British accent? This performance is going down in herstory. Mark my words perfect wat. I mean I knew it would qualify in a way but he was so off. But the performance was well made That had me on the edge of my seat. So happy this qualified. And I love that they just stare at each other the whole time. Goals of the year ---------------------------------------------------  Same as Montenegro but I'm still disappointed that they had to have a weak selection for Darude. I expected better I can see Poland cleaned up their mess. It was a good performance Wasn't sure if it would make it or not. But something had to happen His nerves definitely got the best of him. But that girl on the right was saving it A great performance doesn't make up for a bad song CRIME OF THE NIGHT. Honestly I hoped this would make it farther. But now I guess Portugal can go back to being boring. Oof Anyways, today's show was fantastic and I'm super excited for Thursday because it' gonna be 10 years since the first ESC I watched too. I'm getting so old |

My result prediction so far is going both ways - very good and very bad. I mean, the one's I put in top7 all have qualified (8th to 10th haven't), but so did the bottom 3 (15th to 17th) of my prediction, so I don't know, if I should be happy or sad about this kind of outcome P.S. This is how I predicted and it has nothing to do with my top17 of this semifinal. |

My opinion about the semi-finalists: That was a "light Fuego", the dancing and the voice performances were a lot below Eleni Foureira last year, but it was still good and deserved to qualify. I really hated one of the men's voices, and the other ones were quite average. No real "X factor" there. Desperately flat voice. I just couldn't. When I saw that Tulia was chosen for Poland, I was quite hyped because they do great folk music. That was a great disappointment and even if it was in my top 10, I don't regret this song didn't reach the final. Again, I already knew Zala Kralj but this song was extremely boring. A very good surprise. The song is fresh and the singer is very charismatic. There is nothing really remarkable in the songs itself but the vocal performance was pretty solid. The song was really good and could have pleased more but unfortunately I noticed some weaknesses in the live interpretation. But seeing the average level of this semi, this song deserved to qualify. A great voice, perfectly mastered, and a crushing interpretation. This song got my by a very large margin. A very poor voice. A bit like Hungary, but not as good. The song is a bit messy but it was entertaining and there were no weaknesses in the interpretation. A complete mess with very bad voices. There is absolutely NOTHING I liked. A real nightmare. I like this kind of music but the singer is desperately boring. A strange voice, a strange song, I felt very uncomfortable with it. I was expecting more from the live interpretation. It was just good, nothing transcendental. Serhat is not a good singer but he has a rare quality of entertainer and that helps to make people accept silly songs and getting hyped by them. |
