Lost against Sweden 0-1. Now the big depression will come. Btw. right next to the previous train station were almost 100 people watching. And although I was obvs also rooting for our guys (but not as much as everyone else as for me it was clear who'd win) their reactions amused me. Tomorrow work will be interesting as 99% of the employees wen't out to watch it.

Pls! I was trying to sound very serious. Did you have to destroy this completely? Btw. No I didn't see the bookmakers myself. I was just writing what I read in some obviously very trustable paper this morning.
Btw. I feel the tension rising already although I will see exactly 0 seconds of it. Maybe that's because there are quite a lot of people passing by who are going to see it all together. (Btw. what are the places called where lots of people can watch it together - organized by the community? Here we call them Public viewing, but I know that's a very different t meaning in English.) Yes, I had to destroy it Next time choose better info sources, that you can trust more I think it's called Public viewing - doesn't matter if it's in a bar or on outside square. At least I don't know any other names to such events... P.S. It was a pretty big risk to put my prediction for Sweden, but it payed off - for a goal difference. This is why I said this day might be a game-changer, because many people might not get any points at all. I mean, I'm not a mag or something, but I think most people predicted Swiss win, so this might be big for those who predicted Sweden. Honestly, this whole world cup is just pure luck. I mean Sweden only won because of an unfortunate own goal, if the ball goes straight to goal, the goalkeeper easily saves it. And if stupid Piqué doesn't fly for the ball with his hands up, Spain is still in the game. And many games are decided with such goals and penalties... which are annoying for my way too obvious predictions, but keep the game interesting For tonight my heart says Colombia, but I predicted England of course... I feel a France-England final right now, but who knows, both might easily fail because of their opponents' luck.

Statistically speaking the outcome of a football match is 86% luck and 14% strength anyway. In a modus such as the World Cup one with a knock-out round and just 3 group games that decide over an early exit for half of the teams this 86% weigh even more since there's no chance to be balanced over time like in a league system. This World Cup it's even more visible due to the many penalties and own goals this time around.

Statistically speaking the outcome of a football match is 86% luck and 14% strength anyway. But you have to earn your luck... obviously it doesn't work 100% because we've seen teams that deserved a lot more to win lose, but mostly this luck is deserved, because team played well. For example, today Sweden played almost perfect in defence (just like they did all this tournament with 3/4 clean sheets) and had enough very good opportunities to score. Switzerland played almost the same way like Sweden did, but were unable to break their defence. Another reason why such surprising results happen more and more often is because everyone can play football, not just Germany, Brazil, Spain and other obvious favorites. Now the tactics win more games, than just world class players.

England wasn't playing that good to deserve to go through, but the same can be said about Colombia...

vs I predicted 0-1 so I flopped here next vs I predicted the 1-1 but I predicted Colombia to win the penalties, too bad for me. 17th is very decent, hopefully I can do a little better in the following rounds!

Today we mourn the loss of one of world football's biggest running gags. RIP England never winning penalty shoot-outs 1990-2018
