ACT 9
 Vök - Autopilot
Vök is a dream pop/electronica formed in Reykjavik in 2013, made up of Andri Már, Margrét Ran and Einar Hrafn. Until January 2018, another member, Ólafur Alexander was also part of the band. This isn't Vök's first attempt to represent Iceland. In fact, they participated in the selection for the 23rd edition with Waterfall and came 3rd. This time, they will try to represent Iceland with their latest song Autopilot.
ACT 10
JFDR - White Sun
JFDR, the latest project from Iceland's Jófríður Ákadóttir (Samaris, Pascal Pinon, Gangly), is a blend of cyclical guitar parts, soft minimal soundscapes, and poetic wonderings of a journey that ends where it began. Drawing from classical, folk, and electronic backgrounds, JFDR amalgamates the sounds of changing seasons, her voice a current that moves from rough seas to smooth waters. She also uses rich imagery to portray rich emotions in her music. The song she will sing for this selection will be White Sun.
Although the final 4 songs were meant to be revealed today, unfortunately RÚV has had to delay the announcement of the final 2 songs as one song was found to be ineligible and thus a replacement has been sent for approval.

RÚV is ready to announce the last 2 acts that will take part in the selection.
ACT 11
Mighty Bear - Hvarf
"Mighty Bear makes for a mysterious new face on Iceland’s electronic scene. This darkly glamorous figure debuted during last year’s Iceland Airwaves, cross-pollinating the worlds of drag culture and abstract electronic pop. Mighty Bear's show is audio-visual in nature: any danger of laptop-staring, knob-twiddling boredom is immediately dispelled by the accompanying glittering gowns and towering heels, rippling film imagery, masks, wigs, and a bold, charismatic approach to the stage." - totally stolen from the FB page x
Anyway, Mighty Bear will compete with the song Hvarf, which means Disappearance.
ACT 12
Elín Ey - Bak í bak
Elín Ey, is a young singer/songwriter and guitarist from Iceland. She released her first album “See you in Dreamland” in 2008 and has since been diligent in concerts, either alone or working with other Icelandic, European and American musicians. This will be her first attempt at representing her country. She will sing her Icelandic language song known as Bak í bak which means back to back. Take a listen:
