I'm really mad at Iceland... Their songs aren't usually for my taste, but they finally sent something that was liked by the majority of people. I awarded them with 10 points, which was only the second time that I've given them points in a final. Such a great song gets wasted... But rules are rules of course, and the disqualification is well deserved, you could have found 10 minutes in over a week. Or could have asked for a replacer, even if I strongly disagree with that rule. Sportsmen at the Olympics also get disqualified for not following the rules, even if they won, let's not make a huge drama at a song contest. Anyway, I'm happy for Kyrgyzstan and Anton for their first victory, it's a cool song! This is your victory, don't let anything ruin it. Couldn't have said it better, thanks for the statement. We all often tend to forget it's just a song contest

Considering I have failed to qualify in more than half of the editions I participated as well as landed to top 10 only 4 times out of my 39 editions, 6th place is a great achievement for Azerbaijan in the contest. I would like to thank to all the players that voted for my entry and special thanks go to Latvia and Canada for awarding me maximum amount of I really appreciate your support and will take this unexpectedly good result! This edition I only liked Serbia in the Grand Final, would like to see it placing higher, yet considering it qualified from SCR, I guess the outcome is not too bad. On the other hand, I would like to congratulate Anton for the debut win. As you mentioned, I believe you had finally found the right country to participate with! I want to express my opinion on a topic discussed by many of the players. I won't repeat my arguments that I mentioned in the TT show, but I guess I have to comment on one aspect of the discussion. I perfectly agree with the statement that rules have to be respected, but let's not forget that all the human-based rules, traditions, etc. are socially constructive. Like you can not support former Saudi Arabian rule which forbid women to drive based on the fact that their legislation required this. (With that, I am not comparing rules of WWWSC and Saudi Arabia, I just exemplified it to show how dangerous the idea of "rules are rules" can be) I believe that if majority of the players (more than half of them) oppose the current system, a discussion should be opened to consider whether the current system needs any changes. (I am not counting those who are disappointed with Iceland's DQ, just people who don't agree with the system) In that case, I would be perfectly fine with any of the solutions, even if one of them supported that Kyrgyzstan should be winner (no offense to Anton) I just think that since many players expressed their disappointment, the "whole madness" as Peter mentioned, should be avoided in the future in some ways. On the other hand, Icelandic entry were quite average for my taste, so I am not stating my opinion just because I voted for them, because I do not like the entry at all. Also, I believe Agni has to take his lessons from this "extreme and unfortunate case", as told by Florian. Considering you were waiting for a TOP3 placing for too long, you had to take this chance, yet you wasted it. I am sure you are disappointed with this outcome as well, but unfortunately, you have to deal with the consequences of not voting in time. It is really sad to see that today freedom of expression gets restricted more and more from our daily lives to political arenas. In our daily lives, when you disagree with something, people label your opinion as "complainer", "drama", etc. I believe that every opinion should be respected even if you disagree with them, unless they pose some risks to the public or restricts others' rights. And it is totally okay to complain as well if necessary. In Azerbaijan, we say: "You feel hurt from the place that you expect/love more" I am not feeling hurt of course, but I have participated in this contest for so long, and I could never imagine that it would be that precious for me in the end. It is this is why I want to see the contest always improving, getting better and democratic. In the same way, I expressed my view of point, and I believe a democratic solution is needed for the future editions, even if it might be maintaining the current system. (Again, only if majority of people oppose it, but in this case, we don't know that) I respect the hard work of all the managers and that they keep the contest for 7 years, which happens rarely. But again, I felt a need to express my suggestion and it is up to you to consider/not consider it. As Florian told in TT show, healthy discussions are always good and lead to healthy conclusions Thank you very much for your attention and I hope I did not annoy any of the readers with such a long text.

Imo the rules are great as they are now. If he didn't notice the team, didn't ask for replacement and was online the whole week, it's his fault. The DSQ is deserved. It's sad a winner song was DSQ, but rules were created for something, and the team followed them.

I gave Iceland and it's a shame we won't be going to Reykjavík for the first time. However, rules are rules.. although I do support giving someone a strike as a punishment, this is an extreme case - the winning player didn't vote. Imo I don't know how I would feel winning when I didn't vote. Maybe that's just me, but I would feel terrible. And it has happened to me before, although not as extreme, I got 3rd place in a contest where I didn't vote, and I didn't feel happy with that 3rd. However there's nothing to do now. Just move on from it, it's an absolute shame but Iceland could definitely win again. Pick yourself up and move on from it. Gangi þér vel!

10th! :3On one hand I'm obvs very happy for another top 10, but then again I absolutely don't know if I should laugh or cry at myself. I mean in almost every final I recently took part in, my result was a 15, but the highest I can get is exactly 10th place! And the last time I was higher than that was back in #39. Anyway thanks to everyone who voted for me this time especially for the only 4 people awarding me top 3 points, this time being Slovenia, Japan, for their respectively and Spain for . Honestly it's quite a surprise seeing where I got points from. My expectation included countries like the Netherlands, Samoa (who were disappointing me), but definitely not and Cyprus who are still normally not voting for me yet gave me 15 points . Nevertheless: Yay I got somewhere again! *jumps around in joy lmao
Oh come on...! It's a bit hilarious that Anton tried for so long with Russia and then takes another country and wins right away . I like the song, but not that much. Anyway congrats to Anton for finally winning and see y'all soon in Bishkek (omg I love the background already ). Btw. is it just me or do we recently have only "random" winners? Another kinda unexpected one, but I like it so there's not much to complain about! Congrats to Dusan for a new best result! However for me personally it's very overrated... The rest of the results are nice imo. 6/10 got into the top 10 and only 1 stayed out of the top 20. My personal highlights are: a) My Italy got a top 5, b) Cyprus and Serbia doing quite good too (could've been even a little higher for me ) and c) Azerbaijan's a top 10 (see you can get there with other people ) The bottom places were mainly expected, but may I ask how Latvia, France and Japan get down there? On the other side of the scoreboard (kind of at least) I'm not into the results of Austria (tho during the results it grew on me a bit lol) and Turkey in particular. Btw. Florian + Mimis this year we'll have only 2 more editions right? I'm currently thinking about stuff to send that's why.

If the question is if we'll have 2 "more" editions until the end of the year, then I can tell you that there is nothing planned with exact dates or whatsoever but yes, 2 editions will be held for sure and maybe a 3rd one will be starting in 2018 and be completed in 2019. However you may consider the latter part of my statement more as an estimation, rather than an official statement.

I don't even know where to begin
I'm sorry to everyone who wasted their vote on Iceland and I'm sorry to the managers for having to deal with this
I have no excuse for this. It's my fault for always doing things last minutes (it's a bad habit and my "Þetta reddast!" attitude) and end up forgetting it until it's too late. I've definitely learned my lesson here.
But c'est la vie! Congratulations to for the win (although I'm sorry for causing this, since winning in this situation isn't really ideal for anyone sksksk). I'll be taking an edition break and return stronger then ever in WWW #67 !

Honestly I didn't expect you to give an exact answer. Still thanks a lot for what you could tell me.
when you did a last minute change on Kyrgyzstan in your votes, awarding them higher points than previous, just cuz it grew on me really quickly. and then they win, and you're the runner up so you're sitting there like Oh no! Isn't this the like millionth time that happens to you in Wwwsc? (no insult)
