Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix #08
Confirmations
The eighth edition of Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix will be held in  Silkeborg, Denmark,
since last edition's winners  Finland, are unable to host the event.
The competition will take place at the Jysk Arena, Silkeborg, having a capacity of 2,000 people.
The host of the event will be NVSC host and spokesperson Ulla Essendrop.
All Nordic and Baltic nations are invited to participate at the event!
 Greenland is also able to participate.
Anyone wishing to participate for Greenland, please message me until Friday, 18 January 2019, 16:00 CET!
Remember that only Greenlandic artists are able to participate for Greenland!

Alper has been chosen by random draw to select a song for  Greenland.
The contest is expected to take place on 9 February 2019.
The voting will last maximumly 4 days.
Meaning the deadline will be 13 February 2019 at 23:59CET.

Faroe Islands
Fremmand - "Í sprekkunum"
The Faroe Islands have confirmed their participation in the upcoming NMGP, aswell as their representant.
New Wave band Fremmand will represent the country with their song "Í sprekkunum".

YLE has decided to send Where, an indie-rave duo from Helsinki to represent  Finland in Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix. They will perform What If I Lose My Mind in  Silkeborg |

HAVA to represent Norway
Norway will once again take part in Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix.
Hanne Vatnøy, mostly known as HAVA, was chosen by NRK to represent the country with the song "Elysium".

 PARTICIPATION CONFIRMED!
SVT has just confirmed Sweden's ongoing participation in the Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix.
The entry has been selected and revealed through a press conference.
The singer and songwriter Isa Molin will represent Sweden with her song "Scared Holding On To You".

 Skylar Fri to represent Denmark!The host country has confirmed their act to be Skylar Fri.
The singer will be performing her song "Gold Rush" in the contest.Tagging everyone as a reminder for this.
The edition is expected to (finally) start this week. |
