If you watched Supernova 2019 final, then you've already seen this girl. In that final she presented her newest single "Es Varu Būt Tā". It's her first single she has recorded as a signed artist for Universal Music in Finland! Actually she's the first latvian artist to sign for that company! And she's only 17 (born in mid 2001). Some people say she's our rising superstar... who knows - time will tell! Anyway, "Es Var Būt Tā" would be allowed for this occasion as well, but I decided to go for a song she recorded when only 16 years old. It's a simple and more cosy song about memories in a simple fashion - a girl with her ukulele.

People, where have you been hiding these great songs all this time? If this is how good the entire edition will be, then I'm gonna die trying to vote I might be the only one who thinks so, but so far it's better than ANY edition in the main contest!!!

This is actually really hard! You'd think because there's nothing to choose from... but no, there are quite a few good quality songs to choose from actually! And if I was struggling to choose from around 10 possible acts, then I feel for countries like UK, USA, Russia, Germany and other big music industries (if they decide to take part).

I'm actually really happy that this theme has finally been selected (even if it's not in the main contest).

Why so sceptical?
And even if you do (which I doubt will happen), does that make your song worse than others? No! It's just that competitions make you think that one song is better than the other, because it got higher place... but place is just a number. Just like a grade in school - it's just a number, not something that shows how good/bad of a person you are and what are your best abilities. Not everyone can be a great singer or sportsman or mathematician. But the school system rates everyone by the same criteria, which isn't right... the same with basically any competition...

Actually as my country has very little music industry, just participating for me it's really exciting and that image is really true
