WRLD, Keepsake & Laszlo - Back To You



Going back to EDM again this edition with Dutch producers WRLD and Laszlo, and British singer Keepsake with their fantastic song, Back To You!
I also made a photo to use for the signature image as there aren't really many images of the trio

From now, and for an undetermined period, you'll only see me in special editions of end of decades (and the editions before if they are partner editions). I won't participate anymore to regular editions until I see a real change in the votes. But I doubt that it could happen in a near future, as we reached a point where the results are completely absurd and where the only viable option would be to create a spin-off of the contest for the forum players (only them would send songs and vote). Those who want to continue to participate to the main contest would be free to do so but in my personal case, it would just be wasting my time. If such a spin-off is created, I will participate for sure; otherwise, don't be surprised if you see me again here only at the end of each decade.

It's sad to hear that and I accept what you feel!

I would say the Music Styles from the Members can change sometimes!
So in that have said it Gil! What not have helps me!

But that means not that your Songs would be bad! Wait up your time and see what the next times would give!
Don't forget YSC is weekly! Styles could be more than 30 Editions!

And yes in the 50's from YSC was Kpop the non + Ultra! There was it normal that every in Top 5 was only Kpop!
Now is that not more so!

Example I won in #101 and #103 with really old Songs! I think in the 50's from YSC it would be never get a Chance in Top 10!

I won’t be competing in YSC’107. I’ll be taking a brief leave of absence for a few editions following my 3rd last place in 6 participations.

Take we now Jury MC! She is Part from the Ana's Part!

That her Places since her comeback in YSC'96



Begin we with that all Kpop Songs could get Top Places in her case is that really not so! Only 2 Times 11th Place was the nearest to the Top 10!

6 from 10 Songs was in the last Top 5! That are not Last Places but that are flops and that hurt too! I know it!

And in her 41 Participants she get only 3 Top 10 Places!

To understand it TH have 6 Participants and was 3 Times in Top 10!

But she don't give up! And send her Songs!

I would call her as the underratest YSC Participants all time!

And all who think that he/she can top her you can show it to me!

And Bill I would mean you should Participate more than 20 Times for say clear hw your Songs comes good or not! Than by a weekly Contest 52 Editions in a Year you can say not by 5 Edition how it works or not! All can change in 5 or 10 Editions!

And when we can say it!

Not every Contest is perfect!

I get here somethimes the Feeling that YSC is for you all the worsest Contest!

But Example when in Retro WWWSC every Famous Stars win or the Latino Blockvoting there is that OK?

Or that in One Contest comes Japan really Good and in the other not and you can send there the best Songs but no one like it!

And when here win every Kpop is that for me ok! Than YSC is democratic! You can send what you like or not when you don't participate!

But in YSC is the Victory not on the 1st Point or how you get a Top 10 Place!

I mean it is clear that every can not like every Member that you see in Ana's Part vs. Nagisa Part!

But it never escalated that all said that all would like leave!

And in theory I must open not a Thread here! I be only active here about YSC! All other Contests here intersting me really not more! When no one like Participate here is that Ok for me! Than I must not open more Threads!

And when feel some underrated they can send Songs for the CU Contests and can Vote there too!
YSC is only makes for those who Vote in CU Contests, why I though it would be creat to gives they a platform to be your self and send Songs what they really like! That's why YSC have not Countries!

Winning was not really the big Point! Example Nagisa! For him is that not important what places he get or what other think about him! Example when he win he only notice it! That is all!

And don't forget YSC is at the moment the democratic Contest here! As Member you have so many rights but some never use it!

From the Forum not really some Voted in the CU General Assembly!

That what comes there out! Would be for 3 Months! When all or the most said we don't like the 12 Pointssystem we would like to give 20 Points! Than would it be done!

When the most say we would like hat it should be back to give your own Song Points would that too to!

When the most say Ana or Gil don't make a great Work, we need a new repesent for us would that too to!

I mean what should we do more?

I mean as you pointed out I've actually been pretty successful in YSC (though you said I only got 3 top 10s, I checked and it was 4/6 )

I love this contest and have no intention to quit unless my schedule becomes too busy but I have to say I kinda agree with what Italix is saying. There are definitely extreme elements of bloc voting within the contest (understandable since many of the players are close friends, colleagues or relatives of one another and all have a similar kpop taste) which leaves forumers at a disadvantage, leading to these kinds of results. We always were able to vote for each other I guess but then Retrogate caused the vast majority of forumers (including Arguello, Darius, Rontti, Vaneedas) to turn away and ditch the contest, big shame especially when all the reforms were made

Would a seperate contest for the forum be a good idea? Perhaps, but there is already Battle of the Users which is very similar
All I can say is don't give up, keep sending songs you love and believe in and hopefully results will begin to show an improvement

Well, all forumers aren't at a disadvantage. For some reason I get top 10 every edition and I'm not known among the top players. I'm sure you all will get better results soon, it's only a weekly contest and ofc there are a lot of kpop fans in the contest anyway. But I can see Italix's concern about the voting.
