I didn't know Patricia Kaas had something to do with Germany. Is this some kind of revenge for Sandra btw? Her mother is German and not necessarily, I just noticed that she hasn't represented France yet and since that song is about Germany I decided to send her myself

You would never think, that USA's movie directors would look towards country like Latvia for a potential soundtrack to their movie, especially not at some old music, but this is one of those cases, when not just 1, but 2 latvian songs have been selected as the soundtracks to this movie. The one that I have chosen as my next entry is from 1983, while the other song is from 1970 (but in the movie they use a 1972 recording of the song). But if you think, that they've selected these songs as some random soundtracks, you're wrong. They've actually used both songs as torturing tools (you don't see that very often ). I hope I won't be torturing you with this one entry and you'll actually enjoy it, although it is a big risk to use it here and I won't be surprised, if it fails. From the comment section of the video I can see that there are some non-latvian people who actually like the song, so I hope there will be some here as well Anyway, have a listen to this "torturing tool" and if you're a fan of Drama/Sci-fi/Thriller movies, you can watch THIS movie and see for yourself, how those songs look/sound in the context of the movie (I haven't watched the movie myself, because I'm not a fan of the genre). Žoržs Siksna - "Pasaulīte" (2:56 onwards, please!) PIC:

PHILIPPINES "Itanong Mo Sa Mga Bata" (Ask the Children) - Asin released 1979 0:58+ LYRICS (translated to English): Are you sad? Are you alone? No friends Just by yourself Are you confused? Is your mind weary? From this life How your life is going Are you a wealthy person? Or are you poor? Which one of you Is having a hard time
Look at the children Watch the children Can't you see anything How their life runs? Look at the children Life is in their hands Watch the children You will see the answer Are you a person Who has no care for the world But the truth is You are also confused We are travelling We race in this life But to become a child is the bridge Towards the life we want Look at the children The lesson can be learned What do we do To the life that we don't own Ask the children Ask the children What do they see The life in their hands Look at the children They are truly blessed So we should cherish it Do we need to be jealous of it?

Demolition Group was founded in 1985. They worked closely with Borghesia and Laibach which both participated here before (they might return in the near future *wink wink*). They are still active until the current day. Helena Blagne is from my hometown. Her brother (also a singer) was my uncle's high school mate. She is quite popular (and also kinda hated, not sure why) and has been active since 1986. Demolition Group is the original author of this entry. Helena also made her version and at Victorji 1996 (Slovenian Oscars) presented their combined version.
Here is Slovenia's entry for the 85th edition:
Demolition Group & Helena Blagne - Dež [Rain]
Hope you like it
